  • I'm saving a GNC coupon for that weekend.
  • The GNC guy gave me two cereal bars. He talked up the FitJoy peppermint so I bought one. It was alright. Walmart used to carry the LifeChoice mint high protein bar that matches taste and texture almost exactly. I also tried the waffle cereal bar. Definitely cereal bar style and a light maple flavor. Pretty yummy and would…
  • I used to see these things all the time at work when they first started. They are no longer appetizing. Out of curiosity I've tried the plan nacho cheese and it wasn't all that cheesy. Now if they had ranch flavored it may be awesome. Would not get again.
  • I got one of these in Amazon Prime Mr. Olympia box https://smile.amazon.com/Olympia-Sample-samples-nutrition-purchase/dp/B01BZV5SOU/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1476452023&sr=8-1&keywords=mr.+olympia+sample+box. I wouldn't normally pick one of these up because of the macro to calories and pea protein but I was pretty…
  • Got a free FitJoy chocolate peanut butter bar from running the Tough Mudder yesterday. Damn is that bar worth the price. Soft like a caramel chew. Not quite a dough texture. I'm with you on the Black Friday/cyber Monday GNC deal. Labor Day was the last awesome sale and can't wait for the next. Might have to add FitJoy bars…
  • Found at Walmart. I'm a fan of the Salted Caramel. It tasted like pumpkin pie made with greek yogurt tang. The consistency is what always gets me though. If you don't like greek yogurt this will probably not be your thing.
  • Did they change the Walden Farms Pancake Syrup? My last bottle seemed thicker and comes out in gobs like ketchup.
  • It was ok. It definitely has the oatmeal texture with a hint of cinnamon. My first bite made me think of the cinnamon roll bar. The chocolate chunks were a little underwhelming flavor-wise. I thought it was a walnut at first but there is no walnuts in this bar. I think if I mold it into a cookie first I would have a better…
  • If you do low fat and low carb you are only eating chicken and white fish. May I recommend a moderated level of all three with low sugar and good fats? What are some of your favorite foods? Maybe we can suggest alternatives or a lifestyle that you can stick to. There are so many different ways of eating and how effective…
  • My trip to gnc. I passed on the cookies because of the damn serving size. All but the oatmeal boxes were 13.49 before sale.
  • A whole can of tuna is typically 2 or more servings. So its more like 100cal minimum. I hate serving sizes. There should never be more than 1 in a candy bar or soda can.
  • You guys are either the best or the worst influences. *Races to the car to go to Target* Pancakes? Check! Oreos? Check! M&M's? Check! Yogurt? Check! Ice Cream? Check!
  • Oh man, so beautiful! I am pretty psyched to try add-ins and different flavors. It was so spongey cake-like for 231cal and 22g protein. Well now I want a rice cooker on top of the pressure cooker. Like my kitchen needs anymore appliances. @Noreenmarie1234 I've made microwaved what I would call Protein disks that were…
  • Thank you for this. Tried it out with my own modifications. 53g Kodiak Cakes 30g Almond unsweetened milk 69g egg whites 1 packet stevia 2:40min in microwave and Kaboom!
  • Their website does not list all the locations that carry it. I have found them (in USA) in the organic/health food sections. Also, if your grocer is cool they may have a suggestion box that you could put in a request. A few local chains are picking up to this trend and stocking more and faster every time I visit.
  • If you have a Festival Foods, each one is supplying at their own rate. I have 4 within 10 miles. One has been supplying more and gradually added all the flavors, too.
  • Halo Top for $3.99 in Wisconsin Woot Woot! Tempted to do a Halo Top 10 day "Cleanse" #notreallybutreally
  • I'm a fan of the competitive nature it has, yet we all cheer each other on. I love the community. I also enjoy a lot of the movements you don't do in a conventional gym. Sure handstands are not essential but its like play for me. I grew up fascinated by gymnastics and Circus de Soleil so to be practicing some handstand…

  • OP asked for suggestions of Protein Powders stay on topic. I second Bodylogix natural whey, they use stevia as well as Terra's Whey and Blue Bonnet. Some websites offer samples. Google can give you a lot of overwhelming options.

  • This discussion just made me yawn!
  • I knew a friend that did it with the workout and all. Lost weight. Portion control. If its easier for you to manage than counting why not? Counting is so tedious! But keeping those containers clean all the time would seem to be as well. I say, to each his or her own.
  • Its not that she couldn't eat that physically, I think. It sounds like a mental road block. Try watching 10,000 calorie challenges on youtube and you might gag from how much they put down! I am partly envious because I would fear the repercussions too much.
  • If it interferes with you daily life and social life it can be very damaging. If an obsession prevents you from living a happy life it sure is an issue. If you refuse to eat and actually put your health at risk it is. Sometimes the brain can take a simple thing and push it off a cliff and take it to a deep obsession.…
  • Bake them vs deep frying? Otherwise take carrot sticks, roll them in oil* and salt and wallah! Now I want real fries :( *edit

  • Work on sprints, increasing RPM, strength training, and run.
  • From my own experience, if I have 100-200 calories left when I'm not hungry and I find something to eat, I generally start a massive binge. That single serving of ice cream only opens up a flood gate if I'm home alone. If you happen to have the same experience you'll find using those calories the next day would be better…
  • I would recommend adding more protein to your diet. High intensity workings will tear down muscle fibers and repair when at rest with diet. If you have enough protein building blocks it may help prevent muscle loss.
  • If not lactose intolerant, have some cottage cheese. I've heard some carbs that are gluten sourced can give you a lot of dreams making a nights rest fruitless. Carb-timing causing fat gain is unlikely especially at 1200cal unless maybe you are <4' and that's a strong maybe.
  • Cut into coins drizzle/spray olive oil on top, bake 28-30 min at 375(maybe?) flip in between and season with salt pepper and thyme.
  • This last weekend I have been fascinated with this 10,000 calorie day challenges. So of these vloggers post nearly weekly and it put me into this same mind set. How can they do it and still be skinny (all subjective but they show defined abs and weight in the beginning)? It led me to watch closer. One girl was constantly…
