You are always going to be a statistic. I think what people do is slowly add calories back, maybe a hundred or so a week. once you figure out what your "maintenance" level of calories is, stay at that level for a bit. Then I think most people start looking into the recomp. But I am not there yet and this is just what I…

Apple pie> apple crisp> baked apples (calorie levels). Also could do sauteed apples. I dunno, I like raw apples =P

I will not stop at the bakery that I will pass later this afternoon.

You look great! ....but the number of hands in the first picture and the arm angles confuse me.

I recognize when I am full more readily now. This weekend is a perfect example. A group of us went out for sushi on Saturday. Everyone orders 2 rolls and we split so lots of flavors all around. Since there was only 5 of us and rolls came in 8 pieces, some people got more of one than another. I after tasting each roll I…

How many servings is that recipe supposed to be for? I put it into the recipe creator and it came out to about 660 calories for the whole thing.

Same here, I don't buy the stuff anymore. Now I tell myself I have to MAKE the thing I want so badly. And If i can't get the energy up to do that then it wasn't worth the effort of making. A couple weeks ago I had a craving for brownies and I told myself while I could walk down to the local bakery and buy one, that if I…

Me too! I don't buy "snacks" anymore. I have my planned food per day and I try to eat things that take me a while to eat, and I try to eat lots of little "tastes" of things to keep my brain happy instead of large portions of one thing. Keep things flavorful and interesting. Really savor each bite, and try to not eat at the…

I use 1 tbs of full fat half and half. I find that if I use a medium or lighter blend that 1 tbs is enough. Also I have a tbs just for creamer. :D

Good luck with WoW. I have been toying with the idea of going back (I have the MMO itch) but I rather feel free to put something down and not feel guilty about not letting other people down because my schedule doesn't allow for long chunks of play time. That said right now I am playing Hearthstone daily and I rotate…

I have been upping it by 5 pounds at a time. This is mainly due to the fact that the gym I go to only goes as low as 2.5 lb plates. When I hit a wall, I do as many reps as I can but I still do the 5 sets. Hope that helps!

I'd just like to comment on the drawing. Did you draw that? It is awesome!

you forgots the bacon! I have done this for breakfast, so tasty!

It's seductive. "Look at all these great results, and this is how they did it and it was soooo easy!" I think everyone wants an easy time reaching goal. But, as @julielh72 said, you can find all the info about the containers online and how many of each if you really want to try. But as far as the workouts go, meh. I can't…

Yes well, after reading @z304 's description it could be a REWARD for weight loss =)

Oh, I thought this was going to be about spa treatments like seaweed wraps. I've never done that and was interested in what people had to say. I am a little sad now.

Sorry. Part of the appeal of having someone else do it for you like medifast or nutrisystem is that it is easy. It's a trade off easy and processed or a little work and not as processed. So one thing you could do is if you eat roughly the same calories at lunch and dinner is make 2x as much at dinner the night before and…

While I get the thing against the dairy industry as a whole, does that include the local farms? There are several near me for instance that are open to the public for scrutiny on how they treat their animals, and the products they produce are far superior to the supper market, albeit a bit more expensive. As far as…

So this thread has now given me the urge to try baking sourdough bread. I have never made bread in my life. If anyone else wants to join me, I am going to make this starter and use this recipe for the bread. Going to make the starter tomorrow morning before work.

So I have a question. Why are you going vegan? If you think that it is the healthiest diet out there, I disagree but it is not my place to try and convince you otherwise. If you changed for ethical reasons, and still really miss cheese then maybe you can find a local farm that treats the animals humanely? Then you would…

It is really hard for me to meet my personal protein goal. I am 160 lbs and I am trying to get about 120g protein in a day. Today if i eat everything, I will have 100g. So I am just barely getting my minimum protein and I am eating 1650 cal. But beyond trying to stay at under my calories for maintenance and trying really…

So here is what I do for breakfast and snacks. I am focusing on getting enough protein, so I included that in my notes. I try to keep my snacks to about 200 calories. Lunch and dinner are at about 400. cheerios and milk (200 cal; 10g protein) banana and hard boiled egg (160 cal; 7g protein) peach and cheddar (180 cal; 8g…

I agree with the above poster, but it is listed as "strength training" under cardio and then under the the strength training section you can list specific exercises.

tofu and soy milk are the first things that come to my mind. Quick google search and I found this http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/protein.php

Weigh your food raw. Put down a piece of plastic wrap first to keep the scale clean and then tare it. The calories and nutritional info on the package of raw meat are for raw meat, just like pasta is for the dry weight.
