Thank you so much Jill for starting this and congrats on your 2020 successes! 30 lbs is a perfect goal for me. After a summer of sedentary nothing, I got off to a good start and lost 10 lbs in October/November but "fell off the wagon" with my eating and gained about 5 lbs back in December. Having a bit of support will be…

Is it still ok to join? If so, it would be great to connect and have a group to be accountable to. Thanks! Maggie

Thank you so much in advance for reading this and for your support! I'm hoping to find a person who would be willing to be my accountability coach/mentor. I'm a 46YO female restarting my weight loss journey with about 40 lbs to lose. I currently weigh 184 lbs I don't really need to be coached as far as proper nutrition and…

Happy New Year all! I'm very excited to join the challenge! I'm 46, married, with a demanding, high stress career so I make little time for myself. Excuses, I know. I've been successful at losing weight before but have gained it all back - and then some. Time to refocus! CW is 187 (highest adult weight). :-( Ultimate goal…

I'd love to join too. I'm 46, married, with a demanding, high stress career so I make little time for myself. Excuses, I know. I've been successful at losing weight before but have gained it all back - and then some. Time to refocus! CW is 187 (highest adult weight). :-( Ultimate goal weight would be 140. I have a friend…

My biggest challenges/goals will be taking time for exercise and eating foods that aren't just empty calories. I work twelve hours a day, 5-6 days a week, so it's difficult to balance work, family and taking care of me. It is not impossible though. I just have to stay focused. :-)

I'm in. Starting weight: 187 Goal weight: 135

Hello Ladies - Greetings from cold and blustery SD. While I'm not quite 50, I will be there soon. I'm married and have one very spoiled feline fur baby. There was a quote I saw recently that said "though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." Today I start my…

I took a minute to chart out weekly goals through July 4th (and beyond) and that was just what I needed. SW: 185 CW: 185 GW: 140 I know I want my GW to be 140 but sitting at 185, losing 45 pounds seems pretty daunting. I used a two pound loss per a week thinking that shouldn't be too unrealistic. To my surprise, if I stay…

Great! Thank you so much. As for "restrictions", it's something like that. I'm a tax accountant so I'm just hoping not to gain five more pounds before April 15. Then I get my life back!!

Is it too late to join? Not sure I can make 20 since it will be a couple weeks before I can start any exercise but I need to get focused on my eating now and this would a great boost! CW 185.6 GW 150 Thanks!

I'd be interested too if there's still time to join.

Hi! I would love to join as well. My name is Melissa, am 45, 5'6" and have recently climbed to 180. A couple years ago I had gotten down to 155 and was so happy with myself. Now I look in the mirror and just see failure. I have a high stress profession and spend long hours sitting at a desk. This group would be the…

I'm in! It must have been destiny that I just updated my profile earlier today with my plan to achieve goal by 12/25.

Hi! I'm similar to many of the previous posts. I'm 42YO with no children (except one spoiled feline) but I am married. The hubby and I have very different eating habits so I mainly cook for myself. Hubby is lucky - he eats Lucky Charms for breakfast, prefers cheeseburgers and pizza and has a body fat percentage of 17%. He…

Welcome to MFP! I've met some great people here who have been very supportive. People understand that you'll have good days and not so good days but most of been though it themselves. Best of luck with your journey. Feel free to add me if you like.
