  • Thank you for this!!! :)
  • This!!! Stop sriving for some unattainable, undefined "perfect" and shoot for whatever feels healthy and right for you! Why does it need a label or validation from others?
  • Fantastic response!
  • I am a vegetarian for ethical reasons (namely, factory farming, the environmental cost of meat production, among others) and for health reasons (dietary management of rheumatoid arthritis). I am curious about your ethical reason for going vegan, particularly in consideration that you eat eggs raised from your own…
  • I also sit at a desk for the majority of my 40hr week. I consider myself sedentary and then log exercise separately. Things like walking the dogs, yoga, etc. I always log. Things like walking to go to lunch, walking around the mall, etc. I don't generally log. Occasionally I do if I did a ton of it or if I really felt like…
  • This! This is what should be on these message boards, not all the nonsense that is actually posted about. I rarely read them, but randomly chose to click on yours today. Thanks for spreading positivity :flowerforyou:
  • Super simple recipe ~ Olive oil, seasoning, salt & pepper, mixed in a bowl with a drained can of garbanzo beans. Spread on a pan and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes, flipping once midway. ~ Awesome yummy snack!
  • This! I use google calendar. It takes a bit of time to set it up the way you like (I have color coded categories. ie: work, fun, appointment, etc.) but is super easy and user friendly once you get it together. I then put everything in it. I mean, everything! My partner makes fun of me because I schedule time to read and…
  • 800 calories?! Yikes! Yeah, that has to be way off. You perfectly outlined my concerns with monitoring caloric burn in yoga, the heat raises the HR monitor reading and FitBits don't adequately measure yogic movement. I'm with you, I would never input more than 300. I will likely just keep underlogging calories burned and…
  • Awesome response!! I'm heading out to get fitted as soon as I can now!
  • Exactly this!! ^^^^
  • I didn't read posts so sorry if this is redundant - ***Go to Planned Parenthood and/or the ER ASAP!***
  • Yum!
  • Ditto Ditto Ditto :explode: :grumble:
  • Ha! I wanted to quote one, but I just love all these responses! In summary though; walking is better than nothing, and walking with a crazy large dog is definitely exercise!! Anyone who says otherwise can take mine out for a stroll
  • Mine is actually about 385. It all depends on what you put on it. That is what I have loved the most about utilizing MFP, I learn what is actually in what I eat, and how to accomodate accordingly. You can definitely make accomodations to Subway to make your sandwich a healthier choice.
  • Vegetarian, although I eat seafood on occasion (maybe once/month) because I have arthritis in remission and want to protect my joints. Feel free to add me if you like
  • This is my understanding as well. I do log fruits and vegetables, but don't stop myself from eating them due to caloric content. In other words, if I am at my calorie total for the day, I would not hesitate to eat a banana or some watermelon to avoid going over. I consider this an acceptable way to go over calories because…

  • I think it depends on how you set your daily activity level. I am a psychologist (sitting all day!) so mine is at sendentary. Because of this I log things like walking the dog and my weekly cleaning routine because they are more active than what is in my normal daily routine. If I am going to spend 5 minutes sweeping the…
  • So, are you saying you use the FitBit for walking/daily activitiy stuff AND use a HRM separately for exericse? Original poster ~ Sorry, I feel like I am using this as my own personal thread now.
  • I responded before yours popped up. Do you notice that it doesn't track things acurately other than walking/running? That is my concern as I am pretty good at getting myself moving in that way already. (Ok, I can't take credit, my large active dogs are good at getting me moving!)
  • I have read really good reviews about them and have seriously considered paying full price, so I would definitely grab one at that much of a discount! My concern is that it in terms of exercise tracking, it is basically a super glorified pedometer. This is a great feature for most activities, about half of my exercise…
  • I can't wait to try this one! Thanks :)
  • Thank you
  • This sounds fantastic!
  • Sarah Waters ~ loooove her books!
