A good low calorie flatbread would work really good for this also. Hungry Girl promotes one that is 90 or 100 calories.

I'm totally checking that out! Love chinese food especially General Tso's and Orange Chicken. I'm a little concerned about the Ketchup! Not a fan! Do I go with it or get rid of it?

I think I'd like to try this! I tend to overwhelem myself and then never get going. This seems simply enough to incorporate into my schedule. I'm a mother of 3 also. 5 (boy), 7(girl), & 9 (girl). I work full time out of the home and part time inside the home (thanks to a great husband, dad, & friend - who shared the responsiblities with me). You've pick a great place to start. Don't overwhelm yourself by doing everything at once. Work at this journey in…

There is no reason you can't eat after 7pm. You just have to work it into your calories for the day!

If you look at the calorie king book they usually give you a prepared calorie count that is less then the raw calorie count. The idea is that you cook some of the fat out of the meat.

I had chinese today-- but I didn't do well. So don't go by what I had! How do you not get Crab Ragoon-- I love that stuff!!

Love the crock!!!!! Add raw meat to the crock in the morning (don't want the kiddos getting sick). If you weight everything out and calculate all the calories when you are preparing it the night before it will be really easy for you to weight out an appropriate portion at dinner time. Good luck

The most accurate way to do it is measure out the ingredients before they are put into the pot then divide the total weight of each serving by the total calories. For example: If you make scrambled eggs with 4 oz ham- 80 calories, 3 egg whites (1 oz) - 24 calories, and 2 oz cheddar cheese - 180 calories. So per oz of…

I love this idea! I just signed up. I could use a lot of postive motivation. I hope this helps. Name: Meag Pledge: 44 pounds Weight as of Dec 14, 2010 (first day of challenge - you don't have to fill this in if you don't know): 243.2 Weight as of Jan 4, 2011: 243.2 lbs Loss To Date during challenge: 0 Meag

I'll have to refer to this when I feel discouraged!

One single day of bad eating can turn into 10 single days of bad eating for me. I've heard people say that you should only eat the things you really like. Why waste your calories on food that isn't your favorites? I don't care for mashed potatoes or stuffing so this year I'm not eating either of those dishes. I'd rather…

Most people take the eating for two thing way overboard. You really only need a few hundred more calories when you are pregnant. A good Dr. would recommend you not gain a lot of extra weight, 15 lbs. would be plenty! Good luck!

I looked at the website. It has some good ideas! Thanks

Thanks for the great ideas! Keep 'em coming!

I've learned that I have to be my biggest cheerleader. My success doesn't depend on the motivation that I receive from others. I could be waiting a very long times.
