  • female, 20, 5'3.5, 132-134 lbs Daily calorie range between 1300 and 1500 as I aim for an average of 1400kcal weekly. I exercise about every day (45-60 minutes of cardio activities - walking, running, cycling; some weight training 2/3x per week) :drinker:
  • 5'4'', 132 lbs! Goal weight is 117-121 lbs. Anybody similar is welcome to add me. :flowerforyou:
  • Hello! I'm trying to lose around 15 lbs. I totally understand when you say that you almost don't feel allowed to talk about it... I'm 132-134 lbs, 5'3'', so I'm quite "pudgy". I want to be slender damn it :grumble:
  • One third in... So far so good. Still gotta do 67 squats for the day though!
  • I'm changing my weigh in day to Wednesday so here goes: Starting weight: 136 lbs Last week's weight: 134 lbs Current weight: 132 lbs HalloweenGW: 120 lbs
  • It all comes down to the calories. I like my alcohol and if I know I'll drink in the evening I exercise a little more or just eat a little bit less the next day. :) My favorite cocktail is the White Russian but now that I'm on a diet I usually can't afford those 300+ calories (vodka, coffee liqueur and heavy cream…
  • I feel you, I didn't lose anything in the first two weeks after I started exercising my butt off and tracking calories (but I did lose a couple of inches here and there). It was disheartening to say the least since I've never had too much trouble losing weight if I ate 1200 cals and sat on my *kitten* all day. Now the…
  • People, I think you're missing the point - they're Japanese. She's obviously judging him by Japanese standards, not Western ones. And from an East Asian point of view, her man may very well be "fat". That being said, you can never change a person's habits. Maybe try to cook healthier at home but do feed him enough or he'll…
  • I'm partecipating in like EVERY Halloween challenge  5'4'' SW: 136 lbs (27%BF) CW: 132 lbs (26%) HalloweenGW: 119-120 lbs (20-21%)
  • Same damn problem here :grumble:
  • I'm in! Started yesterday :)
  • I wouldn't like vegetables either if I had to eat them raw without dressing! Start with some extra-virgin olive oil and vinegar, salt 'em up and (try to) enjoy. This is really good for salads, tomatoes, broccoli... Also you can start adding chopped garlic on top and onions (raw or cooked). Also you may want to experiment…
  • Thank you, I'll check it out :drinker:
  • There wasn't a single moment but a quick build-up during the course of two weeks... My mother stressing me about my weight (I was 5'4'', 136 - now 134 - lbs so not even that chubby), my two best guy friends jokingly calling me a "fattie", seeing myself so out of shape with no muscle definition whatsoever (I'm around 26-28%…
  • Last week's weight: 136 lbs This week's weight: 134 lbs Loss this week: - 2 lbs Total lost in challenge so far: 2 lbs Goal for Halloween: 119-121 lbs Amount to make it to goal: 13 lbs Had a pretty difficult week because of two nights out where I overate/"indulged" (sounds better lol) quite dramatically... 2000+ calories on…

  • Really great post! A question though... how come then lots of folks break through their plateaus by eating more? What's going on there?
  • Thank you all for your answers. I'm definitely going to focus more on losing inches and bodyfat % than on the weight itself. Still, I continue being confused by it.:grumble: Exercise should make me lose faster, not stall ANY weight loss (at least in numbers), shouldn't it? The body is such a weirdly complex thing
  • I'm on W1D3 today! I've never ran before and I'm asthmatic. So long so good though

  • It's because everybody knows that fat is a direct byproduct, in a vast majority of cases, of eating too much (=greed) and moving too little (=lazyness, lack of willpower). In our culture, both gluttony and lazyness are considered negative qualities, and we make this association subconsciously, even if we don't expressly…
  • Just started! Today was W1D1. What can I say, I'm excited and can't wait for my second workout
  • Hello!! I just joined MFP after lurking around for quite some time... Well, I lost some nice pounds back last year but then - I don't know why - I stopped following my diet, went back to all the old habits, tried to recover the route but failed disastrously, went through a very emotionally stressful period (a doomed…
