  • I'm so stealing the water bottle bag idea! And I even have an old soft sided cooler, oh the simple things that get me excited :)
  • I rarely drink soda, and only when we are eating out. I used to be BIG into ginger ale. Started drinking seltzer and juice, my kids still love that. We occasionally get Izze Pop from the grocery store (which is basically juice and seltzer, too). Pellegrino for me, and the girls like Pellegrino's lemon and orange drinks.
  • I weighed myself on Thursday, but didn't have time to post. I'm starting out this challenge at 165 lbs. Having a very difficult time keeping up exercise and eating right. It is the end of the school year crazies, and I'm super busy. Plus, there are always year-end pizza parties, ice cream parties, etc. in our elementary…
  • In the morning, I put a shot of unsweetened, natural cranberry juice and a teaspoon of psyllium husk into my water. I take a children's multi-vitamin (adults made me nauseous), vitamin C and my omega 3. to counter act stress I take astragalus or ashwagandha...or both :). I take a calcium chew when I think of it. Keep…
  • Okay, I'm in! I'm not feeling super confident, I'm 46 and it took me 2 years to drop 15 pounds, exercise and eating right has not been a priority. But this summer I'm gonna give it a real go.
  • Lisa, glad we are friends. I'm so new to all this, too. In fact, I'm having a difficult time remembering to update my food log. Any advice on making this a daily habit? Enjoy your weekend!
  • Happy Summer Lisa! I set a weight goal in 2007 and I just acheived it 2 months ago (it was a little goal, too-less than 50 pounds). Then I went up a little, I kicked it into gear and got back to my goal. Now I have a new goal weight, and knowing me it will probably take a few years, but that's okay. For me it's a body,…
  • Got a Striiv. Expensive, but soooo much fun. I don't belong to a gym so that's how if justified asking for a $99 podometer for Mother's Day (did you keel over when you read that?). I've even blogged about it. It keeps you moving, traks steps, stairs, calories, etc. The company lets you earn points toward charitable…
  • The scales and my clothes...and woe is me!!! I gasped when I got on the scale this morning :(. I have to say, I'll be glad when Memorial Day weekend is over and life goes back to normal. My hubbie is a real junk food junkie (and a bit of a bully -in the pouty/fussy sense- if he doesn't get his way with food) and it's hard…
  • After 20 years of city life, tomorrow will be a memorable day...WE ARE GETTIN' A GRILL!!! We have NO idea what we are doing, I'm picturing a lot of smoke and inedible food, but hey, you gotta start somewhere! Any ideas on healthy grilling? Enjoy your weekend! Leigh P.S. Found a great new cookbook at the library: Good…
