  • LW: 259.6 CW: 257.4 Loss: 2.2 Group Loss: 54.3 I've had a rough, challenging, busy week and ate 3 tacos from Taco Bell, 2 nights in a row! I've also been "choosing" (kicking myself in the butt hard) to hang around someone that is "toxic" for me. I keep trying to be nice to them, but, it's sinking me down and I've been…
  • @MzCara148 Awww, so sorry the yucky Prednisone gave you and extra 100 lbs in 2 yrs!! I've heard it makes people gain weight, but, I had no idea it was that bad. Glad you were able to finally switch to a new med. :p I bet it was so fantastic getting to finally eat the great salads, after so long--going without them. I'm…
  • @MzCara148 Thanks for posting about your depression and how the meds help you feel. I also take meds for depression. I've went through many meds, but my Dr. and I finally settled on Cymbalta (I take the generic now). The Cymbalta helps with my depression--I don't cry when I look at green grass anymore (seriously), I can…
  • @bmeadows380 Thanks for getting back. I understand how it is when life is so busy. I've also been very busy & have been away from here for a while. I can't imagine how difficult it is with ALL OF YOUR TRAVELING all the time!! I'm also a Christian and that applies to all of my life, not just in words only. It's hard being…
  • @cnavarro002 So HAPPY for you!!! I bet you've been feeling so awesome about your fantastic loss!!

  • I've been forgetting to post my weigh-ins. Sorry. Starting Weight (I saw where I posted it way up in the thread) 276 CW: 259.6 -16.4 (somehow, this just doesn't seem right: but, it is) New group total...... -47.7
  • Thank you @3reglamc I appreciate you considering the cost factor. Thank you @MeanderingMammal I appreciate your advice.
  • @cmriverside !!!! I went to www.fitbit.com and found an online quiz to help you decide which FitBit was best for you. It came back with 2 options for me. I then checked out what each option offered in each category, and noted each option's price. I chose the newer model one, that was $100 cheaper, and covered everything…
  • Thanks @L1zardQueen I will look into FitBit options. Any certain ones you'd recommend? I just really don't know much about picking this stuff out yet. Thank you, I'd be happy to go with a FitBit. Thanks @cmriverside I tried a couple of pedometers and got frustrated with them not working--but, I think it was my fault. But,…
  • I so much wish I could do this!!! I've just gotten older with injuries and now, it seems to take me a real long time to "work-up" doing low-level exercise things. I hope I can remember to frequently check in on y'all and your progress, as it will be quite interesting and so motivating. I'm so proud of y'all for doing this!!
  • @bigghunny You're so right. Cheers to a 6.25 lb loss for all of us!
  • @bmeadows380 You've been dealing with depression for quite a while, and I know how you are feeling; but, I'm glad it has improved some. Do you have anytime to do some therapy? That has helped me before. Maybe it could help you. You also could be dealing with more stress and depression, trying to find new ways of…
  • I don't have a photo of myself at 360 lbs. I do have a driver's license photo though. I sure hate looking at it! I can't wait until I get a lot smaller, where I see a substantial difference.
  • @bmeadows380 Your sister is doing fantastic! So glad you and her are both in it together. @crazykatlady820 Your walking is making you look so good!! @Mellykay88 What a big change for you! You look lovely. Check out your shoulders! @bdferguson1 It looks like you've come and long way and the answer to that is, YES you have!…
  • @bigghunny, Melanie, thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'll get my pair of hand weights out and do some arm work. Thanks for telling me about the YouTube seated workouts. @MzCara148, Thanks, I think I will take a few 2 block walks during the days it's not raining. Also, thank you too for telling me about the YouTube seated…

  • Weighing in a couple more days. Current weight: 276
  • I've been having a real stressful day, and other days have been like this too. I haven't been able to exercise at all for about 6 weeks now, first due to my back injuries getting bad again, then, do to a procedure I had at the hospital. I know, from the rules I have to follow from the hospital, that I won't be able to…

  • @cnavarro002 I understand your frustration as I've been in that spot many times. I'm glad you're putting your foot down and catching yourself. That's a good thing! Keep working on being consistent at work with bringing your own healthy food. You can do this!

  • @bmeadows380 So glad you're on your elliptical machine now!!! <3 The elliptical is really great with a good, low-impact workout. How are you coming along with it now?
  • @JennaLynDuncan that's normal. It's water weight from exercising your muscles. Keep up the gym exercises. It pays off!
  • @PloddingTurtle so glad you're experiencing the NSV's. Plus, you have found a way that really works well for you. That's great!
  • @MzCara148 What a breakthrough with your feet on the treadmill!! So glad you saw the trainer @ Planet Fitness. Now, you'll be working on those weight machines more and more. Planet Fitness is great, isn't it? I go there too and am so happy there. I love you attitude about becoming a fit person. It is coming true for you.
  • @bigghunny , Melanie, awww, your poor knees.. :s
  • I use Kraft Lite Mayo. I love the taste of it and its texture is great I've been using it for years and years I don't want a full flavored mayonnaise anymore because they don't taste good to me
  • It does make a difference if your are male or female. Males generally need more, and taller people need more protein than a shorter person. I'm a F, 5'11", and my RD said to get minimum 80 grams, but, around 120 grams would be best
  • @Mellykay88 hopefully, your Dr. will recommend that you take iron, before doing more serious tests. I hope you get to feeling better. @PloddingTurtle That's a tough one, ...losing your dad. I'm glad you plan to honor him in your walks and in writing down your thoughts about him afterward. @bmeadows380 You sure are going…
