BTW - what transcription co do you work for, or do you have your own? I do proofreading for a med trans company!

Yup, as per the plastic surgeon. I've had about 8-9 abdominal surgeries over 12 years. I have ovarian cancer and they have removed muscle to rid my of pesky tumors!

LOL... I guess my arms aren't as sore b/c I'm doing sissy can weights!! I'll have to get some real weights to feel the pain some more. I really need to tighten up my arms so this will be good...can't stand that flab!
-
WooHoo!! You've done great at loosing. Hopefully mixing things up a bit will help you get real close to that final goal!
-
Did you have a hard time keeping up breathing wise or muscle wise? If its breathing wise, maybe thats why you aren't too sore. I wasn't nearly as sore after Day 2 than I was after Day 1. (big break of 5 days in between to recover and do some Couch 25K)
-
Are you in Va Beach?? If so, we are neighbors! And I am on day 3 today too!!!
-
Day 2 was a little less difficult to get through...but still very challenging! I do have to say though, I am not nearly as sore today. I will actually be able to do my C25K run today. I am on Week 3 D2. Tomorrow will be Day 3 for 30DS

Good Luck everyone!!! We can do this :)

Life happens and sometimes you are going to go over...back to it tomorrow!

Kelli- is that with or without exercising? I'm 5'2 weighing 127 trying to get to 120. I'm wondering what my sweet spt will be. I didn't loose first week at around 1200-1400. But I'm giving it more time as I knw the weight should come off slowly.

Good job!!!!!!

Azdak... Seems to all make sense! Thanks for your input

Thanks for all of the replies. Funny how so many answers on this board can differ! If HRM is an accurate way to measure cal burned, and assuming somebody out of shape would be at an increased heart rate doing an activity, then it stands to reason that more calories would be burned. I was surprised to burn 225 calories…

This week my goal is just to do the workouts!!!! Next week maybe add some nonmodified moves.
-
Without excercise MFP puts me at 1200 cal/day. Adding in my excercise calories I am at 1300-1500. I will usually eat most of those back. So, I will eat around 1400 :) Good Luck!!!

I like the Wednesday weigh in too. I weigh in on Tuesdays now but the weekends are heavier eating days for me so wednesday gives me an extra day for things to balance out!!

yes, i'm in! i started d1 last friday. had to take a few days off for soreness! i need to buy a tape measure and take pics

I'm doing C25K and 30DS at the same time. I plan to alternate days. After my first 30DS (Friday) I was too sore to run or 30DS on Sat, Sun. Mon I could have pushed through, but weather was bad so I took another day off. Yesterday I completed week 3 day 1 successfully. Today I will 30DS again. I'm thinking try it and see.…

thats a great idea! thanks :)

any other opinions? you guys have way more knowledge than me!!

Good idea to mark it on the recipe card. Another reason to start a recipe binder for myself! I also like the one serving idea except that when I make soups/stews I make A LOT...so it would be hard to estimate eating like 1/20th of the total, kwim? I think the soups/stews/sauces are the biggest problem!
-
I chose light excercise. I'm not sure I will make my excercise goals each week and while I am doing the excercises, I am modifying and taking it slow and easy. So, I don't want to overestimate is my point I guess. Switching to moderate ups my TDEE 200 cal on fitness frog.

bump :)

You are younger than me, but about the same weight wise. I am 5'2 and 127. Looking to get down to about 120. MFP gives me 1200 calories as well. I think b/c there isn't a lot to loose, the loss will be slow. Maybe increasing might help, or zigzagging a bit? There are people a lot more knowlegable than me that will chime in…

I think you are talking about chantix. Definetely a big help, cuts your cravings down dramatically. Quitnet is a great site too!

bumping this up for an opinion!
