Saving for Special Occasions

Wondering about your opinions on this -
For those of you who have done Weight Watchers, you know they have a certain amt of wkly "pnts" they give you to spend on whichever days you choose. Assuming that they just took some points, so really cal/fat values away from each other day got me to wondering...
If we come short (accidentally or purposefully "save up") on calories on certain day(s) throughout the week...would it be ok to make up those calories on another day? This could be very helpful during the weeks when you ahve a special occasion.
I guess it's kind of just judging your cals on a wkly basis vs daily. Obviously, I wouldn't starve myself on those days, just eat lighter.

I wish someone would answer this, because I don't know, either!!! I really hope this is plausible, because last night I drank a glass of red wine and a gin & tonic plus didn't eat very well. I was going to eat really light (i.e. like 990 cals) to "make up" for yesterday, but I don't know if it works that way or not! I too was on WW at one time.0
