Thanks all. Im actually glad to hear that others struggle to maintain without logging food - i thought it was just me!! I have tried the 'eyeballing' method. When i first stop weighing food - i am pretty accurate at judging the weight... but then about 2 or 3 months down the track, its like i have tricked myself into how…

Hi, Im vegetarian, and usually hit around the 100g mark. I do incorporate protein shakes, and bars (Quest bars are delicious!!) - but also through protein enriched breads (Burgen Womens Wellbeing), low fat dairy, lentils and meat replacement foods. If you are happy to eat lean meats - then you will find it alittle easier.

Yep i hear that - I have actually started to consider the phrase 'Fat and Happy'! I know to remain slim and at my goal weight I cannot drink anywhere near as much beer as i would like to, nor can i eat the amount of cheese / cream / pasta etc... I understand that people say everything in moderation... but moderation does…

Hi, I have been vego for about 3 years - but started weight training with a PT about 2 months ago. She has me on a 1400 calorie diet aiming for 100 plus grams protein a day! Honestly - im finding it pretty tough, and damn near impossible without protein shakes / bars. Example of a normal day would be - about 200g of 0%…

I am in a nasty cycle moment. I hit my goal weight, and am so happy with how i look that i relax and enjoy food / booze for a few weeks. Of course i then gain weight (around 8 pounds) before hitting my "alarm" weight -and freak out that i am going to become "that" person again. I am then very well behaved until i drop back…

Switch to Vodka Soda Lime Less Calories :drinker:

thanks - i know what you mean. I think i thought i would lose 5kg and would like like i did in my teens!! hahah

I guess i am more concerned with some of the behaviour i am seeing. How do you know when to stop? my original GW was 65kg then i revised to 60kg. i am concerned that when i get there, i wont be happy and will revise to 55kg (which i know would put in the underweight BMI range).. How do you know what is the right goal…

Oh good! None of my sugar is coming from processed foods - only from fruit and other natural products. I am vegetarian, and try to avoid processed food all together - and have been really shocked at coming in over the sugar allowance. Thanks All
-
Excellent - thanks for that. I was quite shocked as i dont eat any high sugar foods. I do eat a fair bit of fruit - which does show as high in sugar. I am making sure i am on track with the protein, carbs and fat - and am only eating some of my exercise calories if i am still hungry. I know you can slow your metabolism by…

I have an hour, and the gym is right next door. I just got from busting out a cardio session!! I dont look particularly pretty anymore (red face, wet hair) - but i feel great!

am definitely glad to be back! I know that i am accountable when i keep track and record EVERYTHING i eat on MFP.... i think when i am not logging in i convince myself i havent actually eaten that much during the day. looking forward to dropping the 5kg (again) and the rest!

How about DRINKING your exercise calories? I have completely fallen off the wagon lately, but from today I am climbing back aboard! In the past my biggest weakness has been alcohol. I am ok to limit alcohol - but i cant cut it all together. If I only ever drink what equals my exercise calories, is that ok?

Hi All, i have been vegetarian for about a year now. Recently i have been reading some bad stuff about unfermented soy products. Despite having tried it heaps of different ways- i just dont like tofu, but i have read that soy milk, edamame etc are unfermented too. Does anyone have any thoughts on the saftey / healthiness…

Wow! Thanks for all the help. I know i am not low in Iron as my boyfriend made me start taking iron tablets when he found out i was becoming a vego. Maybe swapping to a multi might be beneficial - one that includes B vitamins. i have booked an appointment with my doctor just to give me a quick run down of what actually is…

I am not eating my exercise calories - but i dont feel hungry. Maybe i will have a crack at eating them and see if it gets better

I have really fallen off the band wagon over then last month and have put on a couple of pounds - so this is exactly what I need to get back on again!! IM IN CW: 165 End of April Weight: 155 GW: 145

Im in! SW 75kg (165 pounds?) My plan for the month is to exercise CONSISTENTLY at least 3 times a week, something which is usually very hit and miss for me!
-
Wow that sounds awesome! So you only have calories from the tequila then? Specs is that in the US?
-
I'll happily drink scotch - but not by itself..... maybe with Sprite Zero or something? Would that be better that cider?

I have pretty much stopped drinking during the week now.... and am finding that I can do like an hour of kickboxing on a Saturday morning - then I feel less guilty about the 6 or 7 ciders I have on Saturday night!! It does make any exercise on Sunday not very appealing though! I guess I just have to weigh up what I want…
