MFP is great but works best if you build a support network around you! Add me as a friend if you like and I'm happy to be part of the circle of support!!

This site has been a great motivation for me and will hopefully be for you too! Welcome!

I agree with not worrying about how it looks while doing crunches or whatever...just focus on using those muscles and as mentioned, good breathing and you will get stronger abs over time... mine still aren't great but I can feel the crunches (15 X3), leg raises(15x3) and the plank (1 min x2) I do have gotten easier after…

Hi there, and welcome to MFP! It's really motivated me over the last 2 1/2 months since I joined and I've lost 4 lbs (6 or so to go). You will find it a support and pleasure I think! Don't forget to check the posting boards for interesting discussions and info, add me as a friend if you like!

It's also hard because you can't just work off those little binges when you're sick. I'm in the same position and it's pretty frustrating!! Can only agree with the others saying you just have to limit the damage and make up for it when you get well again!!

Welcome! I'm new to the community too, though have been using this site for logging calories etc. and loving it! You've done so well already! Hopefully we can cheer each other on along the road! If you like you can add me as a "friend" on here :)

Hi there! I'm new too and have about 4 kg or 8-10 pounds to lose. Finding motivation really hard but with the help of this site and a few friends on here to keep me inspired I know I can do it! And so can you!

just a thought: have you considered taking measurements instead of just going by weight? Remember muscle weighs more than fat... also energy levels and general health improve with better eating and exercise so hang in there!!
