  • I did all of 30DS with 3lb weights, but now in RI30 some of the moves are way too easy with 3lbs (while others are still tough). I will be getting some 5lb ones and eventually collecting a range so I can change it up depending on the move, to make sure I feel challenged. JM's attitude is so funny in Ripped - I love that I…
  • I was pretty much on-schedule until I got sick this past weekend - I am still feverish and my nose is a faucet, so I've had to skip 4 days, and probably today too. :( I did find that level 2 became easier around day 9, then level 3 wasn't actually that much of a bump up (I've only done 3 days at level 3). Can't wait to…
  • I would second everyone saying Couch 2 5K. To address your comment about "turning bright red" -- I used to run Varsity cross-country in high school, and even when I was quite good, I always turned bright red if it was hot enough and humid enough. Just an unfortunate side-effect of having pale skin. It had nothing to do…
  • How's it going for you? I got a sore throat yesterday and am definitely sick today, so I'm taking a rest. I actually miss it though!
  • Exactly! I do the same, from restaurants that only use high-quality fresh ingredients. Will always love pizza - just keeping my portions in check now.
  • Keep it up! I'm starting level 3 tomorrow! I just previewed it -- I'm excited and nervous...
  • Feel better soon! I know what you mean about the coughing working the abs -- I have asthma and always get a lingering cough after colds. Definitely a killer ab work out!
  • I've been planning to do Ripped in 30 afterwards, too! I also want to do a version of C25K and get back into 5k running shape.
  • Yeah - I am doing it in a studio apartment that I share with my partner -- I move the coffee table and dining table every day to make room, but i'm still almost crashing into things with level 2, haha! More motivation to find that 1-bedroom apartment we've been looking for! Today I felt like I used to feel after a…
  • Yeah. Just finished. Couldn't move for about 5 minutes, even to get to the shower. I don't remember being this tired after day 1 of level 1, and I'm in much better shape now.
  • I'm doing it in 30 days (did day 1 of level 2 today)! That way I don't have to wonder what workout I'll do today -- keeps me consistent. Level 2 is definitely not boring!
  • Adding you -- this website is awesome for staying accurate and accountable. Sounds like you're off to a great start!

  • Adding you - we are the same age with very similar fitness goals!
  • Wow, a week already? I am definitely starting to find it easier -- the push ups are still killer, but I'm attempting all 'real' ones now.
  • I'm adding you - I'm also about to turn 26 and just trying to lose ~10 lbs and get in shape.
  • Today I started doing some real push-ups rather than knees-down ones! They're still really hard for me, but I'm so excited about my progress - I'm already noticing looser clothes and a more toned look. This is an awesome workout for only 20 minutes/day!
  • I've been drinking the same beers as before (IPAs, Belgian tripels, etc.) but just in smaller quantities. I've taken to splitting a beer with my partner during dinner - that way I get the flavor I love without overdoing it. Or I work out a lot and treat myself to a whole one! :)
  • I think I will try this too. I need to go a bit slower to make sure that I'm using only my abs to raise my body.
  • My right calf is a lot more sore than than my left -- I wonder what could cause that imbalance? The right one feels ready to snap!
  • I actually work in science education research & policy now - which involves a lot of sitting at a computer writing and working with data.
  • Hi, I'm 25, but I actually found that I move less now that I'm out of college than when I was a student. Back then I had ample opportunities for hiking and biking and swimming and a great free gym -- now I work an office job in the city where gyms are expensive and nice wooded hiking/biking trails are harder to find. I…
  • Hello - I'm new too, and I'm 25, 5'6" 133lbs. I'd like to lose 8-10 pounds (but I'd be OK gaining some of it back in muscle!). 4 years out of college, working a desk/office job where I am sedentary way too much. I'm definitely a sweet tooth - trying to cut the cupcake on a whim deal too!
  • I've been seeing some posts about this 30-day shred -- indoor workout videos are definitely interesting to me as long as they are not too expensive and don't require too much equipment. I'd love more recommendations for that too!
