I am a member of the Northampton Pure Gym and that is really nice, spacious, lots of good equipment, never full, clean changing rooms and central location. I wish I had closer to me as Nuneaton has crap choice and are totally over priced.

I think Tescos banned people wearing pyjamas in their stores! :drinker:

It's a handsome straw man you got there!! It's not an either/or. :noway:

Hahahahaha this is just too much fun... Especially this bit... "Most people nowadays get married for all the wrong reasons"... wow, you KNOW why MOST people get married? facepalm. lots.

That's how I ended up so fat...16 years of Brownie points cashed in for brownies. That's a lot of chocolate right there.

Great to see hard work paying off. I am looking to get a tuck after I have lost the weight too. Good job xx

Great advice from this lady in general but this is the question you should be asking yourself. IMO (and it's worth **** - same as everyone else's) its a control thing. He is putting you down and chipping away at how you feel about yourself. People who love you don't do that. Good luck, you know the right thing to do.

Before I scrolled down to see the bottom of the picture I thought you only had a few carrots and grapes!!!

Looking good Mrs. Your dresses look fabulous on you, you can really see the tone and definition. I had a sequin dress once, but I got scratches all up my arms - by the end of the night I looked like a serious self harmer! ... I am back to MFP and although still hacking up a lung, ready to go for it in the New Year. One of…

I found the baby belly is getting worse the more weight I lose. :noway: When it was fat and rounded its not so bad. But my skin is so damaged by stretch marks that as I lose weight it is like an empty used carrier bag. Not too attractive! :grumble: So I have been for a consultation for a tummy tuck. One of the things they…

Well done, that's really inspirational. You look healthy and happy and fabulous! xx

Eyes - gorgeous!

Hi, I've read your post but not the other replies. So this might already have been said. But time to read it again, if so! You've got to own it. Its your body, just the frame in which your brain, personality and soul (if you believe all that) resides. Most people will get past the shell and enjoy you as a person - if you…

... not if you turn around half way through your run!!

HI, I'm being lazy and I've not read all the responses. But here is my advice. You did good, look at what you would have done say 3 years ago and what you just did. What changes of mindset have happened? You counted how many biscuits you consumed and held yourself accountable. You will think of those biscuits when you make…

Berocca (or any other soluble multi-vitamin) before bed to head it off at the pass. I also try and have a bit of honey on toast before bed too. I never try to sleep when the room is spinning etc... it is a disaster in the morning!! I used to have shocking hangovers but (touch wood) I've not had a bad one in a few years.…

Really, you think your husband never looks at another woman? Unless you gouged his eyes out, he'll look...

I never changed my name when I got married. :noway: Still have my maiden name and I dont' see why I need to change it, its been ten years so it ain't gonna happen. I am not chattel, I am not 'his' in that sense. I am still ME. If he didn't like it he didn't have to marry me. So bollox to tradition.

OoOoo link required please! I do all my exercise in my conservatory coz I'm too poor and lazy (and embarrassed) to leave the house in gym wear.

Do what you need to - I can't imagine it makes too much noise...

Like everyone has said, don't worry about the weight. Nobody picks you up and weighs you! If you can see a difference and feel a difference then its working. Strong, fit and healthy is a great goal.

Dresses are brilliant, they will fit you for longer with no threat of them falling down. If you get some that look good with a belt, even when they are too big for you a belt will show off your slimmer waist and you won't feel quite so uncomfortable in them.

Yep, nothing to see here!!

Thank you for that, I have had a stalker-esque rummage through your food diary and I am impressed with the normalness of it. That gives me hope! I am still taken with these 90 calorie low sugar breakfast/snack bars, I just had one; it tastes like crap. Protein shakes are another 'should I try it?' temptation, although I am…

So how do you get past the three month mark, when frankly I get bored and the food gets appetising? What's different this time for you, is it internal or external? Are you eating the same food as you used to but in moderation, have you swapped out some key ingredients but kept mainly the same or completely revamped the…

Wow!!! Cherry told me about you (all good stuff I can assure you) and said what an inspiration you are to her, and NOW I see why! Incredible is an understatement, I don't think I truly believed I could get slim, properly slim, ever again. Sure I could drop a stone but not make a huge difference to my body. You just…

My thoughts are that your hormones may also play a part in moods, appetite and general well being. But I think your BP is probably a big factor too, only a doctor who can examine you will really be able to help you. I am eternally grateful for the NHS... having to self diagnose that sort of thing in this day and age…

I cut out caffeine doing the Atkins many years ago, when I realised how addicted to it I was I never went back. I was given tea in a beaker when I was a toddler; white with sugar! It was tough to quit and I went cold turkey. I am not sure if it affects weight loss but I found it harder to give up than cigarettes - by a…
