I don't know if this has been posted yet or not, but I've noticed within the past month that I'm not able to eat the same amount of volume that I could at my highest weight. Granted, I have learned to eat high quantity/low cal items more (veggies, especially), but I find myself struggling to finish a small filet of fish,…

I used to take my jeans/work pants off as soon as I got home because the waistband had been cutting into my belly all day. I've noticed recently that I'm comfortable in them all day and typically don't change until it's time for pajamas!

I worked from home today and did not stray from my meal plan or calorie limits!!! In the past, I would have eaten everything in sight and snacked from boredom because it was available. This is a HUGE day for me!

I'm a weird one. I only meal prep for work days (M-F) and I only do 4 days for lunch. I let the 5th day be a soup/find a healthy option close to the office day. That way, I don't waste any food because it went bad! I leave my weekends open as far as lunch/dinner, but I always have some fruit, yogurts, and hard-boiled eggs…

I do :/ I always subtract a decent amount of cals just incase. Then I can be pleasantly surprised if it is correct!

I walked by a mirror in my apartment and caught a reflection. I thought "Oh wow, she looks great in that shirt" and it took my brain a full 2 seconds to recognize and realize that was me :| I hadn't seen a flat stomach under a blouse in a while!

I say spring for the Charge HR! I stopped using my Fitbit Flex because I wasn't able to tell how many calories I burned in gym classes where I wasn't physically stepping a lot. I switched to a Polar heart rate monitor to get a more accurate count, and I've found when wearing that that the gym machines overestimate my…

This is a great article about 44 healthy foods under $1 per serving. They even added ways to use the ingredients in recipes in each description!

I logged EVERYTHING I ate over Christmas break. The good, bad, and ugly of it. Huge NSV because I used to pretend it just didn't happen!

Convinced my fiance to try some strength exercises in the gym with me instead of just running his usual 30 minutes on the treadmill. (He is very close to a healthy goal weight and BMI and can run no problem.) We started with some jumping jacks while using 3lb hand weights in each hand, and he was out of breath asking me…

For the record, I got the lighter take portion of the Shrimp Fra Diavolo (shrimp, linguini, garlic tomato sauce) that clocked in at 400 cals! Sodium was off the charts, but at least I stayed within my calorie allowance. And, it was delicious!
-
You guys are so helpful, I love the way you're scouring the menu. I had totally missed the crab cakes before. Nice amount of protein too.
-
I know. And I started watching my sodium because I have had soup for lunch every day this week, and even the lighter sodium options were still around 700mg for a serving. I think I'll just have to be bloated for a couple more days!
-
So helpful, everyone! Thanks! I missed the side salad and soup options the first time around because I was too busy noticing that a full salad was almost 840 calories...really?

-Egg-less cookie dough so that I could eat a whole bowl at night while my family was asleep without the oven noise waking them -peanut butter sandwiches with marshmallow fluff or sprinkles in the middle -a whole pizza was child's play -peanut butter by the jar -those mug cakes that were wildly famous on pinterest (probably…

How amazing! We have very similar stats as far as height and weight/goal weights so this is so motivating for me!!

These are delicious! And if you're wanting to go even healthier than the all purpose flour, you can use oat bran. Still really yummy!

I've read that if you've started a new routine, your muscles have a lot of water retention to help repair the small tears they make. The same place I read that said it can take around two weeks for all the water retention to go away Have you started some weight lifting with your workouts? I've experienced the same thing,…

So much help! Thank you!

And thanks everyone, great suggestions!

I never thought to make chicken salad with greek yogurt! Yum! Thank you!

I know this is an old thread, but just in case! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqjHePnk8Hk Joe says it himself in this video: "We don't want to juice only."

Well...all I was asking is if I'm going to have heavy carbs (bread, rice, etc.) if there was a optimal time of day to do that. But clearly that didn't work out to well.
-
I haven't actually done the calculations because I wasn't using MFP while I was making them, but when my doctor told me to stay away from bad starches and carbs, she recommended a breakfast for me: greek yogurt pancakes. Take -2tbsp oat bran -2tbsp plain greek yogurt (no flavorings or anything) -an egg white. Whip all…

OP I know you said sometimes you end up overeating things like nuts or peanut butter, so before you eat a snack like that that's high in calories but has good fats, try drinking a 8oz glass of water first! The suggestions like fruits and nuts and cheese are good, but if you want some pb or nuts, you can try to curb your…

I'm in as well! That was actually my specific goal that I set for myself for before January 1. I would love to hit it a little sooner though, since I'm going wedding dress shopping over Thanksgiving :)
