If you are eating 1200 a day, how many calories are you burning? Working out that much I am willing to bet that you are not eating enough calories to keep your body working normally. Muscle is more dense than fat, did you measure yourself before started weight loss? You might be losing inches right now instead of actual…

As stated above, most accurate method is to use a HRM. I think there is an entry for HIIT or circuit training workouts on the exercise list. You should be able to manually enter your time and calories burned
-
I wouldnt use MFP to log strength training, there are hundreds of apps that can be used to do this. My personal favorite is called Fitnotes.

I quit them cold after reading about the different ingredients that are in most of those energy drinks.
-
I normally use italian dressing, balsamic vinaigrette or something like that for marinades. I usually just add a serving of whichever kind to account for it.

I got 2 metal folding chairs for about 20 bucks at home depot, works great. Get you a strong wooden/metal bar and you got you an inverted row station as well!

I can happily say that I have not eaten anything from mcdonalds for almost 3 years!

You need to eat more, seriously. Your body is gonna wear down with so little gas. Look for calorie dense foods, various nut butters & nuts (if you aren't allergic), cook with grapeseed or olive oil, whole milk, cheese, cottage cheese (if you are not lactose intolerant), Avocados!!. Get you a big jar of peanut butter, keep…

I did JMBR up until week 10, wasn't able to finish because of an injry not workout related. I did really well with the program, lost a good 15 pounds and gained loads of endurance. I liked that she uses more modern techniques that p90 and such. Also the people in the video are much easier on the eyes than other videos 8)

Best way to determine burned calories is with a heart-rate monitor. Nothing is 100% accurate, but those usually work pretty well.
-
I go straight to the gym after work, hit it for about an hour, get home shower and eat dinner. After dinner I try to drink at least 20+oz of water.

My wife asked me about this and I did a little research into them. Seems they work really well, but many people said that they just quit working after a couple months. Mileage may vary, but form your own conclusions from Amazon reviews. I am thinking the fitbit would be a better device, but it doesn't monitor heart rate.

I really need to start doing this, one of my verts in my T-spine is out of place. I have been trying to find a good one to use any suggestions?

I have lost nearly 60 initially only doing home workouts. I invested about 50 bucks to get a pair of 15/10/5 and an exercise ball. There are tons of free workouts on youtube, weighted and otherwise.

Dont lift heavy everyday, go 3 days a week (standard MWF or TTHS) whatever works best for you, also get adequate rest, drink plenty of water. Best thing for sore muscles is to lift weights
-
I started stronglifts 5 weeks ago. Screw the scale! I quit weighing myself, I am focusing what is being put on the bar and eating sensibly. If you want to gain strength and muscle eat more than you burn, if you want to lose weight eat less. Just as Mehdi says, its that simple.

You need to find your why. As in "Why are you doing this". Stealing from Jillian, but if you have a why you can tolerate any how.

No one really?

I am actually restarting today also! Going to be upping the weights fomr 3/5/8 to 5/8/10-15 and trying to do the harder modifications where possible. Going to change the program a bit, instead of doing the cardio I am will be doing JM Yoga meltdown (chiropracter said that yoga is awesome for arthritis!)

I would add the resistance training immediately. Even though you wont gain much muscle while eating at a deficit it will tone and shape you. Consume enough protein in grams as your lean body mass.
-
I have a PB&J everyday on the 40 cal Nature's own bread with a banana. 250 calories for 10g protein, usually as my in between breakfast and lunch snack.
-
From what I understand, a good stretch before and after (which you are already doing) helps this alot. Also Increase your protein intake after a workout, it will help rebuild the muscles faster. My wife had the same problems and she started doing a protein shake with milk after her workouts and she said it helps tons with…

8oz = 1 cup = 250ml Easily done with 20oz bottles, i am now up to drinking 100oz of water a day. Not counting the water in the fruits and veggies that i eat.

To quote House, "Everybody Poops." My wife and I laugh about it, she gets mad when I put her in the dutch oven though LOL

I do not think there are no wrong exercise for weight loss. Getting up and moving is the best thing you can to to speed up your metabolism and get the fat burning. I mix between doing JMBR, P90 and just plain old walking.

Nope my wife and I use it all the time when we walk. It keeps our steps and the total time we walked, its great! Also the subject matter is awesome! Who doesnt love zombies!
