Anybody want to guess?

I was told by many to expect this but I am wondering when the loss might start up again?

I am doing Stronglifts 5x5 and started at the beginning with just the bar so I am still pretty light with the weights. I haven't made any other changes other that cutting back on the cardio some.

Thanks for any insight!

On a positive note, although I haven't lost any weight I did just take measurements and I dropped 1/2" from my upper arms, upper legs and chest so that's encouraging.

Are you eating at a calorie deficit? If you are, you can expect the scale to go down in a couple weeks. If you aren't eating at a calorie deficit, chances are you won't see the scale drop. That being said, the number on the scale doesn't mean jack crap in the grant scheme of things, its all about fitness levels, IMHO. You might not see the scale drop, but clothing will fit better, and you will be healthier, and thats' way more important.

I am eating at a deficit as weight loss is the primary concern for now. I just felt like I was losing too much muscle along the way so I decided to add some strength training into the mix. Thanks

Looks like you have accomplished awesome goals so far! Keep up with the lifting, I have always thought fit people are much more attractive. Skinny is good but fit is where its at!

It should start dropping off in a couple of weeks if you're in fact at a deficit. Just be careful...lifting makes you hungry as all hell and I have often found myself going over my calorie goals just to satisfy the deep growl in my stomach.

The numbers on the scale will be much slower to go down though...with Strong Lifts and Starting Strength and programs like this, you're always pushing yourself progressively harder so your muscles are always needing repair and always need more water. That water retention in your muscles can easily make 1 Lb per week fat loss look like 0.25 on the scale, etc.

I started stronglifts 5 weeks ago.

Screw the scale! I quit weighing myself, I am focusing what is being put on the bar and eating sensibly. If you want to gain strength and muscle eat more than you burn, if you want to lose weight eat less. Just as Mehdi says, its that simple.
