  • Been there! Went to the doc last month.... scale there said one thing... same day at the gym it said 10 lbs less than doc's scale... and the "official" gym scale (kept hidden in their office) said 5 lbs more than the doc's scale. CRAZINESS!!!
  • "pain is only temporary" "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" Dori's famous quote can be used for sooo many things!!!
  • Well, I'm kinda torn, just like my fave team --- the Colts. My favorite players have been scattered. That in a way is kinda nice because I'll have more teams/players to cheer for. HOWEVER, I am anxious to see how the hometown team will do with sooooo many new players. And no Peyton. *pouts* I had really hoped he would…
  • I think it depends on how you look at what you're trying to do. Are you dieting? Or are you changing your life style? It's much easier to forgive yourself when you realize the changes you are making are for the long haul and not just a quick fix diet. If you have a crappy day at work do you quit your job? Nope, you go back…
  • Yes, I do. I've had several experiences. I've always had a fascination with the paranormal it seems. A half dozen years or so ago I even joined a group of paranormal investigators (ya know like Taps and Ghost Adventures). We went out on "hunts" or investigations at least once a month trying to find the elusive ghosties.…
  • Hi - Misty here! 40 1. I've always had an interest in the paranormal (mostly ghosts) and have been a paranormal investigator for the last half dozen years or so. =) 2. Even though I like to hunt for ghosts, I still get scared in the dark - or more what is IN the dark!!! 3. I recently became an ordained minister (through a…

  • I think you have a good case if you took her to court. Just curious, have you been documenting everything? I learned a few years ago that I needed to document, document, document. I write down every support payment we get, every visit, and anything my daughter tells me that happens. Your ex's comment about not helping…
  • Thanks KatyCat!! It does feel awesome!
  • I've been a single mom basically all of my daughter's life - her dad and I split when she was about 3 months (never married him, thankfully, since he'd been cheating on me for awhile). For quite awhile I felt like I was either at work or being a mom... I felt like I'd lost me. To regain myself I had to find something that…
  • Hi Marsha... welcome to the group. I'm new, too. =) Congrats on the accomplishments already under your belt!!! Whoo hooo!!!! I agree that your bigger challenge might be finding a teaching job. =( I teach special education in a tiny hick town in Indiana. I spent 7 years teaching in Juvenile Corrections for the State, but…
  • 1 - spending my money how I want to without having to get 'approval' from a spouse... 2 - I get to choose where I go on vacation... hmmm....those are the two biggies that I can think of.
  • I tried on and FIT INTO the smaller sized clothes that have been hanging in the back of my closet for years!!!! And I stayed out of the Cookie Butter (curse my neightbor for going to Trader Joe's and bringing me back a gift!!!)
