You might want to start with a video to learn some of the terminology but I'd suggest going to a yoga studio. There is no substitute for good instruction, particularly when you are just starting out. Make sure you pick a good studio with all the props (blocks, blankets, straps - you'll learn how to use these) and really…

I have had a can or two most days throughout my weight loss journey and it has not kep me from losing more than the weight I set out to lose.

This is a great goal! I would strongly suggest working your way up to it slowly and with a plan to avoid injury and so you have a good time doing the half. Joining a running group (team in training or USA fit - both have wesites) really helped me to achieve my running goals. You get a proven program and have the fun of…

I prefer women like most women prefer men: Smart.

It satisfies our primal need to belong to a tribe. Caring who wins shows emotional commitment which raises the stakes and makes it exciting.

What great work! You look lovely!
-
Not only "hot" but knowledgeable. A killer combination!

Wipe it down with vinegar and water.

I gave up fast food because I couldn't eat it and stay within my calorie goal. Didn't really miss the food (did miss the convenience a bit). After a few months without, I had a burger, fries and shake and felt sick, slow and bloated for a day and a half. This is a very good thing and I have not gone back.

Perfect! Just go back to drinking it black. Be a trend-setter for your friends!
-
Drink it black. You will either adjust or hate it so much you will quit. I love black coffee.

I say THANK YOU! I'm proud of every pound I loose and every person who notices.

What a great idea for a thread! I know it's easier for me to see the negative than the positive. Thank you for this! 1. Did pretty well in a killer 90 minute yoga class to start the day. 2. Ate according to plan. 3. Worked with my wife to get all the Christmas decorations put away (didn't fall off the ladder). 4. Didn't…

MFP has worked for me because it is about changing your life-style in regard to food. You do this from the inside out rather than the reverse and it works. Sure has for me. I hope it will for you. Be paitient, kind to yourself and give it a try. Oh, and free is pretty cool too

Asics Gel-Kayanos have taken me happily through many marathons. Pricey but I love them.

WoW! You look great!

Vikes. I'm a 49ers fan.

Conan O'Brien. Not clever, not funny, just dumb.

Grandparents, more often than not, give love that is unconditional. You don't need to do anything for it or earn it. They won't judge you but they do want you around so they can love you.
-
I always take it off. I don't want to risk losing my wedding ring because it slipped off my sweaty finger.
-
Good God! The change is phenomenal!! Congrats!

Sounds like you are using your daily weigh-ins in a positive way so go for it! Just don't get discouraged if you go up. I weigh myself every morning. If I'm down, I pat myself on the back. If I'm up I use that as a motivator to eat well that day.
-
You are here so you are never alone in this weight loss journey. If your family will not support you (they should be ashamed of themselves) we will. No one noticed when I lost 30 lbs so I just started telling them .I am proud of it and I started acting like it. You should too. You are doing great!!

You guys invented ice hockey...of course you do it better! Oh, and your health system and national anthem are better than ours too.
-
Bread. I used to eat a ton of it every day. Now I don't.
-
I'm going to eat a bit of everything but try to keep the size of the portions down. I'm not going to worry about it for the one day. Like a lot of others have said, I will just try to even out this "bad" day with upping my exercise and lowering my calories for the rest of the week.
-
First, don't beat yourself up. Just get back on track tomorrow and try to keep bad days to a minimum. They're going to happen now and then. Remember one bad day doesn't have to make a bad week. Hang in there.

You need to see a doctor to make sure you are healthy enough for running and that there are no issues.

It's NOT OK, no way, no how, never...
