We have sweet potatoes every Monday for dinner. We bake two medium sweet potatoes (one for each of us), throw on 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, and put four ounces of baked chicken on top. It's super filling and healthy!

^ This. People really need to judge themselves and stop worrying about others. A lot more would be accomplished this way.

The key to camping is to go minimal but everything should have several uses, imho. I suggest packing light, bringing only the things that you need, or that you may need in case of an emergency, and having fun! Food, water, shelter, fire, and latrine --- all you really need to worry about!

Who cares about the opinion of people thinking you fudged it up? Not enough people give others the benefit of the doubt anyway! I say you do what is best for your goals and your life. If changing it will help you stay on track, do it.

We do this, too. I will thaw the chicken the night before and do tons of lunches and dinners with it.
