I've been in your shoes. Know that it does get better. I, too, turn to food when I feel alone - which is often. I just try to keep pushing through. You're right, tomorrow is always a new day.

I love your story and your sense of humor. I, too, have my sister as a MFP friend - and my daughter - becasue that's "how I roll". You look amazing! Great job!!!

It's okay. Don't beat yourself up about it. It happens to the best of us. Tell yourself you are going to start fresh today. We can't dwell on what has happened in the past - but we can choose to react differently next time. We are human - not perfect robots with no flaws. You can do it!!!!!!!

Wow! You have had great progress!!

No carbs!

Congrats! Great job!!!

I cut out all products containing sugar - real and artificial. Sugar is evil and causes food cravings. Just my opinion. :flowerforyou:

Wow! Congrats on quitting smoking!! I am sure that is part of the reason you are struggling with the weight loss. My family does not eat completely the same way I do. My kids still eat bread, carbs, and such but I definitely try to stay away from them. I've been through many years of different diets, eating plans, etc but…

48 5'7" SW 206 CW 183 GW 160 - then maybe 150 if it isn't too hard to maintain. I'm old after all

It has to be very frustrating knowing that you increased your ixercise and still didn't have great results. I am 48 years old and have had food issues my whole life. I've had many years of guilt and have avoided many social situations becasue I didn't like how I looked. For me, I have to be very careful with the types of…

Hang in there! Try to stick with it, you will be so glad you did. It is so frustrating when the scale gets stuck and doesn't move. Consider changing your eating and/or exercising routine to jump start your body's metabolism. You can do it!!!!

I've had this happen before. Don't give up! After it happened to me, I stayed at this same higher weight for almost 2 weeks - then dropped 4 pounds in a week. Hang in there. It is frustrating, but our bodies are interersting creatures with a mind of their own. Don't let the scale dictate how you feel about your self - it…

Even though sweet potatoes may be a little higher in carbs that you would like, I think the health benefits are worth it. In addition, a sweet potato is a delicious and healthy way to kill a craving. My favorite way to eat them - steamed - blend with a little water or chicken broth for a chowder/soup - try with a slice of…

I recommend the following: eat only animal protein (eggs, chicken, beef, pork, fish), fresh vegetables, fresh fruits. Seasonings and condiments that do not contain dairy, gluten, soy, or sugar are okay. Avoid the following: dairy, sugar (real and artificial), products containing gluten, soy, processed foods, alcohol (only…

I would like to lose 20 more pounds. My ultimate goal os about 25 pounds but I am hoping I can lose 20 more by June 1st. I would also like to get myself ona regular exercise routine. I work ling hours and am always so tired in the evenings (and early morning) to exercise. I am probably just making excuses but I need to…

Congrats! Every little bit counts. You can do it!!!:flowerforyou:

I too was a diet soda lover!! What I realized, though, is that even though it is diet it still greatly affected my cravings for sweet and sugary things. I only learned this by completely eliminating sugar (real and artifical) from my diet for 30 days. Diet soda plays with my mood, my cravings, and my body's natural…

I know exactly where you are coming from when you say "I just am doing a MILLION times better that I was BEFORE I started this and I still can't ge the lbs to go anywhere". Before I started with MFP (again), I was probably consuming at least 3,000 calories a day of junk (chips, sweets, candy, processed food, and a ton of…

Congats! Great job!!

Hi Lisa! I also received a fitbit for Christmas. I love it so far although I am still trying to reach my step goal each day. I really like how myfitnesspal and fitbit can link together so that you don't have use multiple websites. I fell off the wagon this last year and am working to get back on track to lose about 40…

You look amazing!!!! :flowerforyou:

I can definitely see the results! Keep up the good work!!

The only way I can stay under/at 1200 cals a day and not get hungry is to stick with foods that are high in protein and low in sugars and/or carbs - I.e. lean meats, eggs, veggies, nuts, and fruit. Sometimes I allow myself "cheat" meals...like last night when I had a margarita made with sugar free mix (yum). I don't always…

Your progress is amazing! Keep up the great work!!

Nikki ~ You truly are an inspiration! I am so proud of all you have accomplished. Just remember to take one day at a time. If you have a bad day, then pick yourself back up the next and start again. I hope you keep us all posted on your progress.

I am also following a paleo diet...just started last week but have done it before. It is truly the only thing that works for me. I am following it fairly strict right now. I would like to lose about 50 pounds. Would love to hear about your progress along the way. Good luck!!
