Count me in! Love to have more friends to go through this journey.

Hi. I'm halfway to my goal. I've been "on and off" this site, but am bound and determined to see my goal. Happy to make new friends and offer support.

I've been on here for over a year. I try to be as active as possible, but sometimes life gets in the way. Would love to meet more friends who are along for this journey.

I'm 5'4". Doctor suggests goal of 147, I'd prefer goal of 135. I started at 273 and am now 188. I've been stuck there now for weeks (fluctuating a pound or two either way).

(Response to vintagechick2) - I smiled when you posted that. I was in Mexico a few years ago and our "Day Activity" was to go horseback riding. A few of us chunkier gals decided to do that rather than zip line or ATV riding. We were told that we were too big for the horses. :( Very embarrassing. Then again, when I saw the…

Welcome! Jump in the weight loss kayak with us! I hear ya about the things you want. I had the same sense of "I've never quit at anything" too. I've yo-yo'ed all my life and finally got sick of it. I've been at this for a year now. It's a journey, but it's worth it. BTW, I kayaked across an 8 mile lake when I weighed a lot…

Always happy to have more friends! Anyone who wants to add me, I'd be happy to be your friend on this journey. :)

The more friends the merrier! I find the journey is better when there are more to share stories and motivation with along the way. Please feel free to add me. :)

I am in a similar situation. At 40 I realized I needed to do something about my weight. My mother died when she was 63. I realized that was only 23 years into the future (and the 23 years from age 17-40 went by f-a-s-t so I figured the next round would too). I'm currently down 83lbs because of WLS (I had tried everything…

Welcome to the site! Feel free to add me. I'm a North Dakotan who lives very close to Canada.

I know how you feel, but you are there for you, not them. Maybe some of them are success stories that have already happened? I will admit, I still have anxiety about shopping in the "normal" clothing section. I keep waiting for the "fat" police to come out of the dressing room and shoo me back to the plus size area. Just…

Please add me if you'd like.

Welcome! This is a great site with wonderful people to support you as you achieve your goals. Feel free to add me.

If I sweat from the activity, then yes; otherwise no. Spring and fall yard clean-up definitely count. Shoveling snow this winter has counted.

Please have your blood checked. It could be iron deficiency or it could mean a very slight leak. My friend and I had our surgeries two weeks apart. She had this experience and was very weak. Her sister is a nurse and took her to the ER. It was discovered she had a tiny leak. She needed a pint of blood and bed rest and was…

I fight the same battle. I bring healthy snacks like protein bars and Greek yogurt. If you need chocolate, try bringing a sugar free variety to keep in your desk. Atkins make some wonderful protein bars that satisfy my sweet tooth. Drink lots of water and stay away from caffeine. I find being caffeine free helps control my…

I was a 24 and am now a 12. I have 45lbs left to lose and hope to be 6 or 8 by that time. The picture on my profile is me "wearing" my size 24 jeans. I was a size 14 in the picture.

I agree about already losing and being 1/5 of the way to your goal. That is great that you have lost! I have had so many plateaus that I have lost count. Don't lose the faith! Up your water consumption a little, make sure your protein intake is high, and low to no sugar intake. You've got this!

Congrats on making some big changes! I would like to try PX90. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
