  • I have been using the FitBit since Mother's day last year and find it difficult to hit 10,000 steps everyday. I'm lucky if I hit it 2-3 days a week. I sit at a desk all day and don't get up as much as I used to. I need to focus on taking a walk around the office every hour and getting in 30 min. of walking (all at one time…
  • Been slacking off and not checking in on the challenges. Will definately be able to do todays. 1/2 - 155.2 1/9 - 153.6 1/16 - 1/23 - 1/30 - 2/6 - 2/13 - 2/20 -
  • Mon-Wed-Fri I do 40min on the eliptical trainer. Tues-Thur- Sat or Sun I do 20-30 min weight training. I am going to incorporate at least one set of the day 2 challenge as well. I also usually walk our local swap meet either on Sat or Sun. I know it is not great cardio (because of the pace), but I still think it's better…
  • Thanks for posting a day ahead. I did my ususal 35 min. eliptical workout this morning and then added one of the 10 min ab workouts that I have on DVD. On top of all that I rode my bike to work (only 2.2 miles each way). Feeling really good today!
  • Didn't get to the challenge posted for today. Sounds like a good workout. Maybe I will start incorporating it into my Tues/Thur AM workouts. I did do a 20min workout with free weights and a Smith machine this morning. Then I took 2 15 min breaks (one in the AM & one in the PM) at work today and walked on the treadmill.…
  • I got the FitBit last Mother's day and wear it almost every day. I do like the motivation it gives me and the fact that you can set a timer for your workouts to see how many calories you burn. I am glad it links to MFP so I don't have to enter info on two different websites.
  • Well I missed that. Didn't check the blog until today (1/3). I'll be better about checking in daily. Also started the challenge rather badly as we had a new person start here at work and the M.O. is to take them to lunch. Rather than check the menu before I got there I went a head and order a BBQ chicken wrap only to find…
  • SW: 156 Chest: 37.5 Waist: 32.5 Hips: 40.5 Thigh: 23.8 Body Fat %: 35.6 (according to my scale) My goal is to get down to 145 by the end of the 50 days and eventually to b/t 135-140 I also need to find a way to get rid of my belly fat. I look 3 months pregnant all the time and am sick of it! (no offense to pregant women)
  • Thought I posted my goals earlier but I don't see them so here goes: 1. To excercise more frequently and intensely 2. To lose at least 10 lbs. 3. To NOT eat mindlessly! (just ate 2 oatmeal raisin cookies because they were there!) 4. To take time for ME!!!!!!!
  • Thanks for adding me. My name is Lisa. I'll be 49 in a few weeks and have been trying to lose 10-15 pounds for the past 17 years (ever since my last child was born; I gained 50lbs with him!). I think of myself as an active person- love to walk, ride bikes, hike. I currently workout about 3-5 days/week (3 days using an…
  • I like your ticker. Are those pics of you or a computer animation of what you would like like at your goal weight? I'd love to set one up like that! OOPS! Thought I was posting this on someone else's post. Not sure how to do that.
  • Please count me in. I need all the motivation I can get. I've been stuck on this plateu far too long! What do I need to do to take part?
  • Hi. My name is Lisa and I am new to this group and new to FitBit (got mine for Mother's Day). What I'd like to know is how you manage to walk so many steps? The only way I can get at least 10k is to take a dedicated walk before, during or after work for 20-30 min. I have a desk job and try to get up often and walk around,…
  • I feel I am in the same boat. It seems the more I watch my calorie intake and work out, the harder it has become to lose weight. My mom just let me borrow the new Jillian Michaels book callled Master Your Metabolism. I am only thru the first chapter, but so far I like what I am reading and I heard it is a really good book.…
  • That's a great idea. I will definately have to try it.
  • Hello to everyone. I think this is a good thing and hope it helps a lot of people. Name: Lisa A little bit about me: I joined MFP about a month ago and did really well logging my food and exercise but got discouraged when what I thought I was eating wasn't too bad and then realized I was eating well over 1500 cal/day (when…
  • My favorite is the honey whole wheat with a bit of jam on top (no butter necessary).
