Good Afternoon all - what a lovely friendly group of people! I've just had a look at the groups and this one jumped on me. I've been here on MFP for years, more of a spectator than a competitor and I'll be honest not a lot has changed in the passing years. I lose and gain the same few pounds over and over again. If the…

I hear you! I work for an insurance broker and don't have life insurance. The hard truth is the insurance provider doesn't want to cover those morbidly obese because the threat of them losing their money, the risk is too great. It should make everyone pause for thought. On the other hand - well done!

Hi Puppybear I'm not following LCHF but I do recognise that the results are amazing for those that do. I am a child of the seventies so it's very difficult for me to lose the low fat indoctrination, however, I am here everyday and happy to support all success (and hiccups)!

Why is it most people put City, or County, or State, but the Irish only put Ireland. I can't decide if because everyone knows each other or they're all avoiding each other :) Hampshire, UK

Hi Dave, I know exactly what you mean. For probably the first time, I have faithfully recorded what I eat for more than a couple of days at a time. Also for the first time, in decades, I've eaten less than 1500cals for more than a couple of days at a time. So in my heart I think my reward should be a daily weight loss of…

I'm 12lb along in a 100lb journey, so I've not changed dress size, and everything still aches or rubs. Bones are still deep below the skin and I'm still feeling warm. However, I know there is no longer a hair elastic between the button and the button hole of my trousers because I couldn't do them up! I can now wear them…
