google the recipe for weight watchers spicy black bean soup. It is delicious, and I have even made a double batch and frozen to just pull out as needed.

Life happens! I too regained the weight I had lost. Just as I was ready to face the weight gain head on my gym offered a biggest loser contest. It was the motivation and accountability I needed. Hang in there, if you succeeded once you can do it again! We have all been there!

Thanks for the question and answers

Give it a good effort and you should :-) I am 5'3ish too and started at 154 (at 41 years old) at the end of April. I am now 123 after doing some pretty decent strength training 20-30 minutes and cardio 30 minutes (stationary bike, treadmill and stair climber) on average of 4 times per week (some weeks 5 some weeks 3) and…

Thanks, I have been wanting to try making a simple black bean burger instead of buying them.

Did research on this a while back because I have a son with a tic disorder and mild anxiety. Do your research...often the problem is what else you are/aren't eating with your magnesium rich foods that prohibits the body from absorbing it properly. Like the others said, don't just add a supplement it can do just as much…

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt 1/4 cup oats 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup frozen blueberries about 270 cal 38 carbs 3 fat and 20 protein to keep you full and build lean muscle if you are strength training. Enjoy!!
-
Will have to try these for sure!!
-
Didn't read all of the posts yet, but www.skinnyms.com has crock pot recipes too. Enjoy :-)

I used a trainer once a week for 3 months and it was worth every penny (although you are right, it isn't cheap). He gave me a new workout every week, so now on my own I have a notebook of workouts to choose from. He taught me/had me do exercises that work together for the best outcome. I did things with him I would have…

Sounds very good...will have to try this for a treat!

I agree, you need a healthy diet, cardio and the strength training. I would have never thought to do squats, lunges etc. until I worked with a trainer. In 3 1/2 months with a healthy diet (1200-1400 cal a day average), and cardio mixed with strength training I went from 154 to 126 while toning and losing inches. GOOD…

I gradually got rid of my cream and sugar as well and now drink it black, but when I first started out the nutritionist at the gym said if you only enjoy your coffee with cream and sugar that consider it your treat! Who wants to start their day with a bad cup of coffee :-) Good luck-there seem to be many great suggestions…

Done with 8 lbs in each arm...better than nothing! Next time I'll shoot for more weight! Thanks for the challenge!!

Heading to the gym now...will add them to my workout!

I mix mine with 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup frozen fruit (usually blueberries). I too get most of my protein in my food, so I only add 1/2 scoop vanilla whey.
-
If you are strength training at all maybe consider adding some extra protein which will give you the calories you are looking for. Add some peanut butter to your apple, or some protein powder, yogurt and fruit wo your oatmeal. I generally have a protein shake before bed too (1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries,…

I mix in a bowl vanilla protein with 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries and 1/4 cup oatmeal (not cooked)...very yummy and quite filling for the amount you are getting. Makes me feel like I am having a meal instead of a shake for breakfast.
