I didn't know this before reading this thread, I'm currently trying ginger for the same reasons (mild osteo-arthritis), if it doesn't help I might look into giving it a try. Thank you. Plus I have now ordered all the ingreds for the Nigella soup. Will cook it tomorrow, sounds delicious. Thank u to GottaBurnEmAll for the…

Yes, it's pretty good on showing the trenches and how horses were used in WW1 but you'll need a box of tissues handy.

War Horse with my son as he'd just read the book at school.

Thanks for this. Loved the original series. I hadn't heard of it. I just checked online and we'll get it in the UK on 15th Feb (9pm Fox)

Pepperami? Plus they might have Atkins bars/snacks too.

Too late now I know but if you go again. I find these pretty good, from Sainsburys - Taste Original Mini Chicken Satay x12. 10 mini sticks have 4.4g of carbs. They're fairly filling for their size.

Time Cop with Jean Claude van Damme

Deadpool, then had a little cry as it ended with George Michael's 'Careless Whisper'

If you decide to use the Retin-a , start slowly to avoid it aggravating your skin too much. Perhaps as little as once a week , in the evening onto dry clean skin and building up slowly. It will cause flaking and could get a bit sore. Avoid the corners of your eyes, nose and mouth. Get a good moisturiser, I am also using a…

No Retin A is a lot stronger. Most products containing retinol have it in very low, almost insignificant quantities. 1-2.5% are considered as high. The average off the counter product has far less. Retin A is tretinoin (generic term) and comes in 3 different strengths; 0.025. 0.05 and 0.1. Because I was acclimatised to 1%…

I do use odd pet names to the children sometimes but again in private. Cucaracha is a favourite. But in general I'd rather use the name or just say pass the bread please, rather than .. "hey daddy pass the bread" "here it is baby". It just don't suit me. But clearly I'm odd. If I hear my name I just think someone is…
-
Hey, 'don't call me baby!' ok. ;-)
-
It literally was 'baby' every 5 mins and as they have a 4 month old actual baby in the flat too it kind of seemed bizarre. Last time we saw them at a summer bbq it didn't happen at all. It's not that I see pet names as odd as such , I may do it in private but don't really recall it as I don't use a particular name…

I've used retinol 1% the last year and a half and it's helped a bit. Plus using sunscreen all year around has prevented them re-darken. Started using Retin A only 2 weeks ago so can't say on that yet sorry.
-
I should probably try that as I am getting worse at remembering names lately.

Thanks for the responses I really wanted to see if it was me or if it was unusual. So it's me then. Thanks. It may have been that it was the same term over and over and over...honest am not jealous, I thought it was a bit odd that it was so repetitive and used in front of everyone. Like they were making a point rather than…

Well yeh, and always using a pet name does mean you won't use the wrong one ;-)

I add spinach leaves , celery, carrot, beetroot and even cucumber into a smoothie with fruits. Tastes great and adds volume and vitamins without too many calories. You can add nuts and seeds too if you want protein.

Anything that involves a magic machine/device that's advertised as working every single muscle in the body and has manic looking shredded models using them. There's no way they got their physiques using that dumb *kitten*. eg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RA45cq0i2AA

Perhaps Sophie Dahl? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2090709/How-plus-size-model-Emme-believes-Sophie-Dahl-lost-uniqueness-slimming-down.html

Yes this is it. Thanks a lot, I'd never have found it.

Well done, sounds like you got the bug.

Hope it all went ok. The weather is miserable today. Tail end of Storm Angus I think. I'm doing the London Winter 10k (my first one) in Feb and am dreading the possibility of rain.....or snow.
