I'm Sonya. Thanks Curvi for the invite. I've been natural since September 30th of last year. Wow almost one year but over a year since my last relaxer. I'm now loc'd!! I love the low maintenance of getting up and going. Although locs isn't really low maintenance, it's better than when I was doing twistouts.

First of all congratulations for getting out of 200. Thats a goal that I've come close to but had continued to sabotage myself. Your goal is very reasonable and you want it to come off slowly. I strongly believe the quicker to take it off the quicker it comes back. Mine is coming off at a snails pace.

I used to get up at 4:00am for the same reason and wish I still did. I'm just not a morning person but after reading this post I might go back to it.

I totally agree with move more and build muscle through strength training. You accomplished a great deal. Just hit a plateau.

It's so good to see so many natural sistas on this site. My pic is old. I actually have locs now via loc extensions. I've been natural for over a year and love every minute of it.

My goal is to stick to my goal and exercise at least 4 days a week and add strength training in there somewhere.
