I have two kids (7.5 and 6). I am actually finding it hard now to stay motivated. Between working full time and their homework and activities, I am just tired. I start work at 6:30am, and there's just no way I am waking up earlier to work out (night owl here). I try to work out after I put them to bed, but I had not been…

Can you work out together? So it's not like I am making you do this, but we are getting/staying healthy together. Start with walking, then move on to hiking and jogging. Dance is a good idea. I personally do not like the treadmill, so I would hate it if someone tells me to use one.

You will look fine at 117lbs. I am 5'3" and hover around 110lbs most of my life. Just don't get stuck on a number, and go by how you look and feel. You'll be golden.

My kids are 5 and 7, and I have to say that it was easier before they started elementary school and their extra-curricular activities. I am a working mom, so my situation is not exactly the same. But man, I know it's exhausting being a sahm. I work from 6:30am-4:00pm, then it's homework and kids' activities, dinner at…

I am way way past postpartum. Just want to say you ladies are doing awesome. I was 18 months pp before I even thought about getting my body back. So YAY you!!!

If it makes you feel better, I had an In-n-Out cheeseburger with fries. =) It will be ok.

Congratulations on your baby boy! Good Luck on your journey.

I must be from a different cloud because I love me some diamonds. We didn't married young though. We got engaged at 23 and 25. With that said, I would've married my husband regardless what he got me. I love him for him, not for how much he can spend on a ring.

I am 5'3", and I am good with 108-113. That seems to be where my body likes it, despite my bad eating.

I am amazed by you and a lot of the other new moms on here who are so focused and have a plan to getting back in shape. I swear I didn't even think about any of it until my second was over 18 months. So KUDOS to you.

Doesn't sound like you are eating all that much. How many calories are you netting?

Night after the kids go to bed.

When I was in my 20s, I bought into the more reps low weight to look lean crap. I have those little 2 and 3 lbs dumbbells. They never did much for my body. My 4 and 5 years old "exercise" with them while I work out now.

What I meant is not to focus on the scale. In my profile, I have a side by side before and after pic. I weigh the same, but looked very different.

In your case, weight isn't the issue. You probably want to reduce your body fat. So strength training would be your friend. HIIT was also helpful for me.

Glad you stop going to that doctor. DH was overweight on the BMI chart, but our doctor told him not to worry and that it doesn't take BF% and muscle mass into account. Boo on the insurance companies using it as the main gauge, but a doctor should know better.

Self-control also means being able to stop after one or two or three.

Do you even need to have a set goal? I mean I would just measure weekly or monthly to track your progress. I think it would be motivating to see the change in measurements even without a set goal. Then you can stop losing when you get to the point where you are loving how you look and feel.

I create my own exercise and use a HRM. But I would log it as circuit training probably if I didn't have a HRM.

Tried and failed.

Because I haven't worked on my face.

I hardly weigh myself. I gauge by how my clothes (especially jeans) fits. I think it depends on your personality what works.

Can we have ice cream instead?

I would not cut protein to fit in veggies. If you want to get in more veggies, cut out some of the snacks. But veggies aren't not usually high calories, so you can get lots of veggies in without cutting out a lot of other snacks.

Share photography tips, or just ask for some.

No... do not look like Luke Bryan.
