  • You don't have to shift your entire body over to click the seatbelt in, just reach over grab it and click it in with your hand- no whole body movements necessary anymore. Never knew I use to do that.
  • I read an article from a study completed summer of 2013 that if a woman is obese, its recommended she gain no weight or less than 8 lbs during pregnancy. Apparently there is such a high risk of preclamsia, gestational diabetes and edema, that the benefits outweigh the risk. They say that as long as the mother doesn't have…
  • I would be very upset if that happened to me. It is nice you can edit your runs in Mapmyrun and I like you can have splits. I don't know if Nike+ has that feature. Maymyrun also gives you more info like your avg pace, Nike+ seems to only give you your avg mile time. I just think Nike+ is more user friendly and "pretty"
  • I just discovered Nike+ and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! My second choice is Map My Run. For some reason it doesn't always work well. With Nike+ you can play your music within the app. Its nice to not have to run so many programs on those long runs.
  • Hi Terri, I fell off last Thursday. It was TOM and I couldn't resist the cravings. I made it to day 15 or maybe it was 14. It did help with most of my sugar craving. I'll try again eventually but I have a few holidays coming up. Maybe I'll join the big one in August. Thanks for putting together this one though.
  • Day 14, still feeling good. Craving salt and looking foward to the end of the W30. I'm already planning my cheat day! Then I'm goign to turn around and jump right back on the wagon. Those chips in the pantry are really appealing this week!!
  • I was 260lbs, sz 26, lost 100lbs, sz 4, on the blood type diet. My PCOS went away. I've been pregnant 4 times since then. That was in 2006. I ran, hiked, and did LOTS of Vinyasa yoga. I stayed pretty active. I took metformin for only a month. Family life has me busy and I've gained about 40lbs back, but the PCOS has stayed…
  • Was a new thread started and I didn't get he memo? No one is posting! Anyway, today is day 9. Feeling pretty good except for wicked cravings to just plain eat! Nothing imparticular just want to eat....weird!
  • Thanks for the suggestion Healther. I am trying to be more aware. Yesterday went really well. I didn't snack and had my normal meals and felt fine. I know if I'm hungry more than an hour before my next meal, I didn't eat enough at the previous meal. I also know alot of this extra eating is wanting comfort foods when I feel…
  • well that just proved I still don't know what he was saying!!! Ha Ha!
  • I am a DDD and buy mine from ASOS.com The site is truely AH-MAZ-ZING! As we all know being an atypical size we spend tons on suits! I pay about $15 for mine. And they are super cute. They sell Freya at ASOS as well, but I just buy the ASOS brand. Shipping is free too.
  • Today is day 7 and I am so stuffy and have a runny nose! Its a bit miserable. I am hoping this is all a part of the detoxing process. I feel really foggy too. I noticed last night my appetite has increased and I'm having a bit of a nut problem! Cashews and macadamia nuts are so yummy. I really need to start using them for…
  • Hello all! I'm on day six and have woken up to major congestion! I thought it was my allergies but its been coming on rather gradually. I'm so stuffy! I feel like I'm doing really well. I haven't had sugar cravings since day 3. Day 3 was tough. I was so exhausted and wanted sweets so bad! I also don't feel hunger until…
  • I find this thread so hilarious! My hubby is English and when we first met I sometimes felt like he was speaking a different language. I was drastically confused when he said "I'm not bothered" or "I can't be asked" And don't get me started on the whole "spanner" incident.......
  • Day 1 went really well. I need to concentrate on how I'm feeling whiile I eat and also look for my signals to stop eating. Thats hard to do. I realize I'm very distracted while eating and don' treally pay attention to my food.
  • I wouldn't focus too much on distance, just on actually being able to run the times. I do C2K or 5k 101 at the beginning of every running season and I've done 4 half marathons. I don't focus on distance even then, just the running time. I think a good rule of thumb is to run slow enough to take 3 breaths in and out with…
  • After one week you can wear blue jeans you haven't been able to before!! Thats awesome!
  • Everyone has done a fantastic job in week 1. I am starting tomorrow. I wanted to get past my weekend away then have a day to plan meals. I'm actually not too worried about my sticking with the plan. My hubby is doing it with me and he's very concerend. He told me today, he's not sure he'll be able to give up his lunch time…
  • Nice job on the successful girls night Terri. That is always my downfall...celebrations. I'm anxious to get started. Just need to give up dairy and potatos on Monday and I'll be Whole30-fied. Hubby said he'll do it too. I'm worried, he is such a picky eater and hates veg. I told him if he doesn't like it he'll have to find…
  • I so agree with you on the satiety signals. That is what I need to do too. I told my friend the other day that I could make any diet fail by overconsuming "healthy stuff"! I don't officially start until the 8th but plan to eat the minimal amount required and listen to my body's feedback. That will be my starting point.
  • ISWF has a guideline for the minimum amount you can eat per day. Each meal must consist of a palm size amount of protien, either a thumb, cupped hand, or palm size amount of fat depending on the type of fat and then the rest veg. That is the minimum you HAVE to eat. I think it would be helpful if you listen to things like…
  • I'm so excited reading everyones post. I'm officially starting on the 8th. So Whole 30 rules also says no calorie counting. Have we thrown out our scales and are not tracking in the diaries? I'm so good with that!
  • You have to train your eating as well as your running. I've done 3 half marathons and my first one I never considered how to replenish and cramped and bonked.. My second I ate at every aid station which was every 2-3 miles. If I eat too much I thow up. Too little and I cramp and bonk. Train your eating when you do your…
  • I make a bar using 2/3c. of dried fruit and 1/3 c. of nuts. I haven't found a great electrolyte replacement drink but am looking at Elite Electrolyte company that was blogged about by the Whole 30. I will only eat and drink if I'm training for long distances. If my runs are under an hour I don't use any replenishers. I…
  • I'm in, but can't start until April 8th. Hope that will work. Thanks for the challenge
  • I didn't meet goal last week. I think this week I'm going to reduce to 1500 again. I'm going on vacation on Wednesday so getting to 2000 might me hard.

  • Lvl 1 Day 8 completed last night...almost to level 2 and still pretty sore after lvl 1 workouts.
  • Why does he, does he not feel like its getting too easy. If thats the case I say stick with level 1. If he just comfortable, tell him to suck it up and get going!
