  • Since everyone else has answered the hummus part of your question, I'll skip to your second question... I usually find couscous either in the bulk section (if you have one) or in the grocery aisle with middle eastern or rice. You can get plain and add your own twist or there are boxed ones with flavor already added.…
  • Hubby and I met at a church dance, the first thought was NOT "this is the guy for me" rather "this guy is weird". But when he took my number and promised to call the next morning and then did, well... I gave him a chance. First date and I just knew he was it. 2 months later we got engaged but the wedding had to wait until…
  • Just getting registered for my first classes in 10 years. Going to get an AAS in Accounting cause I need to get a job before hubby retires from the military.
  • I need to get back into the habit of working out, but when I did I'd eat a little greek yogurt before bed so I wasn't starving in the morning, go work out and then eat when I came home. Seemed to work for me, but we all know we're all different. :)
  • I usually eat a slice for breakfast most mornings and it's never gone bad in that time.
  • Sounds familiar, I've walked circuits around my apartment when the weather was bad, trailing two very confused kitties.
  • Keep it up! Your life will be so much better. Hubby quit 10 years ago and he now gets sick around it.
  • We met at a church Halloween dance. This guy dressed all in black with silver glitter makeup all over his head, face and hands and sunglasses on came up to where I was sitting and asked me in German (we lived in VA) how old I was. He looked very surprised when I answered him in German. He asked if the seat next to me was…
  • I don't exercise a whole lot (not yet anyway) but when I do, I only use the extra calories as a safety net. I try not to go over, but if I do then I know I'm ok. It's worked for 30 pounds so far. :)
  • Well, you certainly aren't feeling alone any more are ya? LOL I grew up in a family where alcohol wan't a mystery and I don't mean we were roaring drunks I mean when Dad had a beer, my sister and I got the drops at the bottom of the bottle. And by the time I was 13 I had my first half glass of wine. But it never appealed…
  • I avoid them like the plague ever since it was determined they caused my migraines and hearing loss. That being said I've simply cut back on sugar entirely, rarely drink soda and use natural sugars.. sucanant, maple syurup, honey.. it all works out. And once you do drop the amount you use, you can actually taste the food…
  • I get ads for Ouidad hari stuff (for curly hair) and New England Business College. Hmmm... think I have curly hair and am headed back to school? LOL
  • My husband is on here as well and he's active duty Navy. I'm an Air Force brat so I have split loyalty. Feel free to add me.
  • I don't know how it is in the lower fat versions as I only use the whole, but try stirring in a bit of maple syrup (grade b if you can get it). It makes mine taste like it should be a sinful dessert but without a ton of sugar. (I use Fage brand by the way) And if it doesn't have to be breakfast, use it in place of sour…
  • I don't know if it has nutrition info or not but you can go to their website and select your location to see the menu. http://www.bucadibeppo.com/View-Our-Menu/
  • Just a suggestion (meaning take it or leave it as you like) but you truly may not be getting everything you need. I have changed the way I look at eating and I don't feel deprived or like binging. Weird I know. Anyway, I got my information from reading "Real Food: What to Eat and Why" by Nina Planck. She gives you the…
  • Anyone here feel free to add me. I started with 130 to lose and still have 102. :)
  • Don't know if it helps a lot or not, but I think they say a deck of playing cards is 4oz... so just a little bigger and you'll have your piece of lasagna!
  • I think I have all her books, I also get the clean eating magazine. I do a sort of modified version, but it works. If you're looking for more recipes I also follow a blog about clean eating and the author is a member here on MFP. http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/
  • "The low f/stop was used to hide the concrete and grass, which were not very pretty, and to create a soft feeling... as if the pears were floating." I just started reading Plate to Pixel: Digital Food Photography & Styling. so it was close. :)
  • 19 pounds if FANTASTIC! I know just how you feel and I think it's cause for celebration for every pound gone. It certainly lifts the weight off the negative self esteem. :) Sending you a friend request by the way. :)
  • Yesterday? What yesterday? Seriously, I've had to re-train myself not to worry about the falls I've made but to focus on what I'm doing right now. Like others have said, you can't change it, so just keep moving forward.
  • May not apply to you since I see you're eating less processed foods, but I discovered that eating/drinking artificial sweeteners were the cause of my migraines and hearing loss. Something to consider. :)
  • I still have 112 to lose but I've lost 27 pounds already and I'm feeling pretty good about it. Like someone else said something clicked this time and what I'm on is not a diet but a lifestyle now. :) Feel free to add me if you want. (That applies to anyone here)
  • Supermel- I found the low sodium at Wegmans here in NY, but I'm not sure where you'd find it closer to you. Sorry!
  • I just started eating it about 2 weeks ago when I switched to sprouted grains in my diet. I get the low sodium and it's actually really good. It's a much coarser texture than regular white or whole wheat bread. 1 slice is a serving which seems like such a little bit until you actually eat it and realize 1 slice is perfect!…
  • I found the dough right here in the database... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/shoprite-pizza-dough-per-slice-723114 If the gravy is something your wife makes, you can get the ingredients and plug it in as your own recipe that way you can use it for any pizza you make.
  • Sounds like something we have here in NY at Wegmans called Coco Pop MultiGrain Cakes. They're not bad, but not a bunch of taste to them really. Just kind of a stand in for a cracker or chip. I like to put a little peanut butter on them for breakfast.
  • I agree, ease off slowly, otherwise your taste buds will seriously rebel. And play with different herbs and spices, you may want more if you're not salting as much. Also be prepared once you ease back to think that restaurant food is horribly salty. :noway:
  • I usually have a little yogurt if I'm hungry at night and then I'm also not starving the next morning. :)
