cannon cakes

Anyone heard of these? A girl on another forum I frequent took a picure of her favorite snack (for a game) and it was cannon cakes. So I could barely read the lable so I looked them up. 16 calories per cake, they appear rice cake size but NOT a rice cake. They're made from all natural ingredients too - which is baffling for 16 calories. They recommended them served with jellies or jams. Problem? I don't know WHAT they are! Some sort of cake thing, but is it more like an english muffin or a pancake or a cupcake? And where does one buy them? All google told me was what kind of machine makes them and how to get my own - yeah no thanks I just want to know what they taste like!

I found the same site, which is how i found the machines to make them. I was browsing on my phone then, maybe I missed something but I didn't see anything on the taste or texture0

info from more googling *S*
It takes rice & wheat grain pellets and compresses them until they explode into round, flat, healthy and delicious snacks. Eat them the way they are or dip them into hummus, spreads, dips, salsa, ect... There are 15 Cannon Cakes in each package. Delicious!!0 -
so texture is not mentioned but sounds like would be rice-cake like..sorta.. kinda *L*0

Sounds like something we have here in NY at Wegmans called Coco Pop MultiGrain Cakes. They're not bad, but not a bunch of taste to them really. Just kind of a stand in for a cracker or chip. I like to put a little peanut butter on them for breakfast.0

I eat them all the time. They taste like a thin crispy rice cake. Delicious with tuna, hummus, guac.....
When i was on WW they were 5 cakes for only 1 pp.
Give them a try.0 -
Cannon cakes are found in Shoprite supermarkets in New Jersey. I love them they have a crunch to them. Costco which is like a Sam's or a B.J wholesale club sell them also. There they are called Kim's Magic Pop. I put my egg salad on them or peanut butter and jelly on them. I crave crunch not sweets so it helps me. They are sold usually in a two pack about 10 or 12 in each pack for $5.00.:happy:0

Kitchenfairy, I agree sounds like Wegman's Cocopops. They are crispy and not much flavor. A little like a rice cake--honestly, I don't know how to describe them. I add Polaner Sugar Free plus Fiber Raspberry Fruit Spread and get a lot to eat for very few calories.0

They are originally a Korean snack cake. There is a site just check out Kim's magic pop, apparently they come in different flavors.0
