  • You should read a book called The Rules. At first it can appear very old school, but in actuality, it's really just about developing self-esteem in relationships and maintaining it...and oddly enough, men seem to find that more attractive then a small waistline!
  • Wool Socks CW-X tights Under Armor Cold Gear Mock top Thin wicking jacket Fleece pull over Hat Gloves Neck cover (also used to cover face/mouth to warm air when breathing) Chap Stick Tissues Last two items are very important.
  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health I think the World Health Organization does a good job clarifying. This seems more on board with how I define health at least.
  • I've never used Yak Tracks, I just run right in the street. It's usually cleaner in the streets than in the sidewalks, plus it's softer on impact. I run right into traffic! I just bundle up and wear multiple thin layers, reflective gear, and go. I reccomend CW-X pants for when it's really cold out, and under armor mock…
  • As long as the calories you burn on a daily basis is less then the calories you consume, you will always lose weight. However, quality of food has other major impacts. If you're eating fast food, or junk food, it does impact your motivation levels, and all around, you may feel like crap. Weight is only one part of health,…
  • This is absolutely INcorrect! You're carbs are important, and are your bodies preferred energy source. At minimum, you should have 40% carbs! A rule of thumb for protein is 1g per pound of body weight. When you're goals become more geared towards vanity, rather than health then worry about the macro ratios.

  • I use a light box/alarm clock. Instead of a loud annoying nice, it slowly brightens to mimic the sunrise. It is a totally different way of waking up in the winter, it gets me out of bed, and ready to workout for the day. I've used it for a few years, and i love it. It's not as effective in the summer months because the…
  • Last year I stuck to eating a good portion of turkey breast without the skin, lots of veggies, and my mother was nice enough to make me sweet mashed potatoes w/o the butter. I did fruit for desert....and I felt so proud of myself. Throughout the year I've been able to remind myself of how well I did through the whole…
  • Bananas are good since you will need the potassium. Also, I would suggest using milk since the protein is beneficial. If you're feeling adventurous, toss in a spoonful of peanut butter. Peanut butter and bananas in oatmeal made with milk is delicious...and it will hit up all your macronutrients. It seems like you're on the…
