Wow...I agree with alot of these posts. He sounds like a spoiled little child. Continue with your workouts and if he wants to act like a baby...bring him home a pacifier. Nip this right away in the bud.

Agree with this 100 percent! I did Atkins about 10 yrs ago and yes, I lost almost 15 lbs but when you finally go back to eating just a little normal it piles back on. I make sure my toast I have in the morn is high fiber and that my pasta I make is whole wheat/high fiber. I know now the secret is documenting your calories.…

I have found that logging in every day and documenting every thing you eat is the key. Mfp is no different than weight watchers. And yes, cutting your calories and getting that metabolism kicked in by doing some cardio (fast walking, eliptical, etc..) will also be key. Good Luck! :D

Well I am very happy I found this group. I am not out to get a six pack or have a scultpted body! ;) I just wanted to feel good in my own skin and be healthy!!! And I am also thankful for the explanation on net carbs. I did ww's yrs ago and I did learn about the carbs/fiber thingy but this explanation is much more clearer.

My personal thought is no. I tried going it alone about a yr ago and liittle by little the weight crept back so now I am back with a vengance!!! Hope this helps

Oh my gosh it most definitely works! Stay at a great clip (4.3 miles per hr) and believe me, you will see and feel the difference!!!

I have most definitely learned the hard way that logging is the key to weight loss and staying on track. I was actively logging in consitently a couple yrs ago and lost 12 lbs which was my goal. Sure enough when you feel like you have it "down" you go it along and just the grazing and thinking "oh this is just a little…

 Wow, those are really good points! I also have had days where I have excersised and because of that, my calories look low but I am full! I go with how my body feels.

I am no way an expert but 500-600 calories a day? Ummmm...that is way to little!!! Especially if you are doing those dvd's. You also look pretty young so I would think you could handle some extra calories. And did I read right you lost 15 lbs in a month? That is alot! I think you should maybe talk to an expert or really…

Hey Denise...I cannot add much because you know I am a newbie (you were my first friend here!) but keep doing what you are doing and don't drop the calories. We didn't put this weight on in a few months and its not going to come off that fast either. Slow is the way to go!!!! :flowerforyou:

Wow! Inspiring!

Sounds typical as far as guys losing weight so much easier. As far as your Husband not interjecting about your weightloss....take it with a grain of salt. Sometimes men are just oblivious to that stuff. You should be so dang proud of yourself. I am, and I don't even know you!! Just keep doing what you are doing.…

Sounds to me like you are doing everything right! Good for you.....from what I hear from people, make sure you are making up for the calories you lose from excersising. Good luck!

Now I am pretty new to this so take this for what it is worth but your calories are really low. It doesn't look like you eat a whole lot during the week. I had always heard you are suppose to eat your calories that you burned from exercising or at least half of them. Maybe your body is storing food because the calorie…

Absolutely! I usually have a fiber bar at work, when I get home I may have a sugar free pudding (sometimes with cool whip lite) and maybe have a half a cup of edys slow churn (half the fat ). It makes me feel normal and I always stay in my calories, fat content, protein, ,.......I am pretty new at this but I think I am…
