your best bet is to get a digital food scale and to weigh it. :)
-
Trying to get 10,000 steps most days of the week, if not 5 miles. (apparently, I have short steps). https://www.fitbit.com/user/228PM9 :)

My suggestion is to start an exercise and eating plan that is both manageable now and when you are back in school (or when you have a job/career, family, etc.). Working out as much as you do can easily burn you out (and can possibly lead to injury) and the journey to a healthier you should be done in a manner that doesn't…

I do not have a gym membership anymore, so discovering Fitnessblender.com (plus having a lot of great areas/parks to walk around in my city) has made me not miss 24 hour fitness one bit. :)

Is it supposed to read "lbs per week," not "per month"? :)
-
I take back what I said about the fitbit- I just got mine this weekend and didn't realize that the calories burned throughout the day were logged :)
-
Wow, what kind of HRM are you using and how long did you walk?
-
How much did you spend for a Fitbit Zip? From what I've seen they are typically around 60 and I spent around the same for a heart rate monitor....And, yes, fit bit is good for tracking how far you've walked/steps, a HRM is MUCH better for knowing how many calories you've burned since it works off of your heart rate.

completely agree with this. sidenote: that girl's picture is probably the creepiest one I've seen on here to date.

She just posted a very similar post today, so I guess she's just recycling the same ridiculous material.

Just curious, but where have you read that eating at the calories you are is going to be a successful plan for weight loss? How are you feeling after exercising away all the calories you've consumed? Do you want this to be a quick fix "diet" or a life long change?

fitnessblender.com or kardiokim.com. Love ALL the workouts I've done on Fitnessblender and just started zumba workouts from kardiokim.com :) And, when it's nicer out walking outside is always a good option!

my fav breakfast on the weekends: chocolate almond butter yogurt: 6 oz of vanilla greek 0% fat yogurt (I get big containers of Green Mountain Creamery yogurt) 14 grams of Syntrax chocolate truffle protein powder 1 tablespoon (16 grams) of almond butter (I use Barney Butter) All together there is is 30 grams of protein in…

Better to have a Kind bar than this, Special K bars are full of chemicals/processed nonsense and probably not the healthiest thing to add when trying to get more calories (or, really ever)- cook with olive oil, use almond butter, eat some nuts or cheese....healthier/less proceessed is the better option more times than not.…

Ask him to celebrate/show his appreciation with other things, like flowers. Come up with a strategy beforehand so that, if this happens again, you can focus on that and redirect yourself before caving within 30 seconds. And, if you decide to cave, log it and move on, tomorrow's another day.

Can you start cooking your own food?

I think it may be best to set your alarm for maybe 15-20 minutes earlier so you can get yourself up and not feel like you have to immediately jump into the workout, which can be tough if you're still sleepy! I have made it part of my routine for years for the exact same reason- I hate leaving it until the end of the day.…

That's great information Judy, thanks for the podcasts! There is also fat2fitradio.com as well, they are no longer creating podcasts but the information from start to finish is really informative and focuses on the "slow and steady" method of calculating your BMR and TDEE to get the most appropriate amount of calories you…

I think the hardest part of the process is trying to get your mind around the fact that it's not a diet, but a lifestyle change. All foods should be allowed (with moderation, of course!). What is your weight loss plan/calorie intake/exercise routine looking like? Do you have a food scale/heart rate monitor? It took me…

http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ check this out, hopefully it'll help! :)

A little advice, Djinnmarie: the topic of this post is "Biggest loser Finale....what is going on??". So, stop getting so defensive, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!!!!

Think Thin bars are good! It looks like they have a Think Thin Indulgence Chocolate Mint Coconut bar, but not sure of the calories. Their protein bars are great (in my opinion) but are a bit higher in calories. How much protein per bar are you thinking? Good luck!

I do the videos without the burpees, lol. Live on the third floor of an apartment building and tend to exercise at 6 am- my neighbors do NOT need to feel like their ceiling is coming down, haha.....And, I hate burpees ;)

Fitness Blender! (fitnessblender.com) you can stream their videos from that website or on youtube (which is great since my bluray player can the stream it to my TV). Awesome workouts of all kinds, definitely a great thing to check out!

you know what, after second thought- it's not even worth it.
-
Exactly. It looks like you haven't logged in at least a month and a half- so, unless you're keeping track of it somewhere else I'd say start up first thing tomorrow morning and see where that takes you.
-
Just an FYI- you can get that tea at most grocery stores and at Target, too. And, if you end up drinking this make sure you have the time to stick around the house until it works ;)

So sorry you are going through all of this! :( I agree that going back to the ER or urgent care is your best bet- even if you have to wait for a while once you get there (I know the ER can take foreverrrr) it's best to get checked out again and see what they could do sooner than later- better be safe than sorry, especially…

I mean this with the most respect I can show on a message board, but..... You seem to be asking the same questions everywhere, acknowledge people are giving you good advice, yet you still continue to eat under 1000 calories and are exercising enough to burn a significant amount of calories. Please. STOP asking and START…

sooo, you broke up with the last guy because you couldn't trust him, or believed you couldn't trust him (without any proof) and your new guy doesn't seem to trust you (or is "adorably jealous"/wants to know who you're talking to/messaging/etc) In my opinion, you really need to stop worrying about biological clocks at 26…
