So you walked 9 miles and only ate 650 calories of actual food. Ok then.

Honestly even 20lb in two months is a very high target, especially over Christmas. Read this thread for some good advice on setting realistic targets. Good luck. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1

Maybe read the op before offering random bad advice? The op asked how to space out their runs. At no point did you say AFTER the program add in (pointless) bricks.
-
This. Please stop recommending brick training to beginners - you will cause them an injury.

Still didn't see one toxin named there. Processed meats is not a toxin btw.
-
A polar bear liver has levels of vitamin A that is toxic to humans It's not toxic to them.

Terrible advice for someone new to running. Yeah - give them brick workouts that triathletes use in the advanced stages of training for a triathlon. Op - Please ignore all this, you have been given good advice - take a day off in between each run to allow your body to recover.

Squats and deadlifts - maybe some hip thrusts. Look up strong curves as a weight lifting program.

Doing some form of resistance training can help you retain your muscle mass so you look better when you hit your goal weight. I think a balance of both is best - but that's just my opinion. That said if you don't stick with it then it doesn't matter, so you need to find something you enjoy.
-
Maybe meal replacements are not for you? They all tend to be on the sweet side.

get scales.

Op - you're doing great, ignore catscats222 I use protein powder to get my protein levels up - it's great as a boost, when you're tired or just want to hit your numbers.

She said she has been logging badly due to being sick - if you go back further she hits her macros almost every day. She is fine. Her goals are fine - please stop telling people they are eating too much protein - 100g a day is a great level for a woman losing weight to aim for as it helps retain muscle mass and often makes…

She may be having wild hormone surges and the Oreos make her feel better - but her husband sat next to her not joining her, even for one, makes her feel terrible. It wouldn't hurt him to have one or two - and it would clearly make her feel a whole lot better - so yes, for the sake of an Oreo or two a month, he is being…

She's aiming for 67g of fat - in what world is that low? You have no idea what you are going on about. The protein is not absolutely necessary - but it's certainly not overly high for someone trying to lose weight. Even according to the link YOU posted.
-
Wow - you are all sorts of judgemental, maybe she has a reason for the low fat. How about just answering her question instead of diary stalking her and making unwanted comments. Also you are wrong on the protein comments so...
-
Your protein level is fine - even going by the link that person provided. I wouldn't change it based on one person, you've lost 20lbs - so it's clearly working for you.
-
We don't like coaches here - and affiliate links are forbidden, please remove it. Shakeology is overpriced protein powder. totally not needed and such a waste of money. I like optimum nutrition and MYProtein - though that last one might be UK only.
-
I aim for 100g a day - combined with resistance work higher protein helps retain muscle when in a calorie deficit so you don't end up skinny fat. It is a fine amount for a 'normal' girl - whatever in the world that is. In fact according to that link someone who does exercise should be hitting around 90/100g a day. So she…
-
I don't see why you can't just eat one or two - in the grand scheme of things it's not going to hurt your progress and will keep your wife happy. I think you're being quite insensitive - PSM can be really hard on women, you should try to be more supportive to her.

Sadly he's probably just trying to get the next diet craze going in the hopes of making millions, which is bad enough. Oh dear - the first tagline your boost metabolism. :noway: But if he's also suggesting he can cure illnesses - especial mental health illness with a change in diet he's downright dangerous. I have no doubt…
-
And as you should know - lots of people on medications for mental health think they are cured when they feel better and so stop taking their meds - so saying you can sort yourself out with a diet change may give them the extra push they need to come off their meds - with terrible consequences. It is simply irresponsible to…

Galehawkins basically was - that's what everyone is up in arms about.

sorry what? Dopamine is produced in several areas of the brain, including the substantia nigra and the ventral tegmental area. It is a neurohormone that is released by the hypothalamus. Its action is as a hormone that is an inhibitor or prolactin release from the anterior lobe of the pituitary It's not just produced in the…

Well if a newspapers says it, it must be true. Everyone just stop taking your meds* *This is obv sarcasm - please do not do this - talk to your doctor, they know a damn sight more that a sodding newspaper or some random person on a forum.
-
This is why people suggest lifting weights from the start - to help counteract this.
-
The changing of meds could be causing issues. A few people I know on thyroid meds struggled until their numbers were stable. You can still lose - it's just much harder.
