Good lord, I hope not! Ha! Thanks for the perspective

Thanks Ladyreva78, It's SO frustrating to work SO hard to lose a few pounds but to see it immediately show up after a plate of spaghetti! UGH....*puts sharp object down*

Yes, you have to take the calories listed on MFP with a grain of salt. They're a good guide but I find, based on a HRM, I don't burn as many calories when I run as MFP thinks I might. It's important to really know your body and know what works for you and fortunately, it's trial and error.

Thanks for the reply. It's just so insane how addicted I am. Smoking and drinking NEVER appealed to me but soda...omg, I feel the way a heroin addict must feel.

It's not a withdrawal issue which is why I said "emotional addiction". I don't suffer from headaches or even cravings for the sugar. For whatever reason, it triggers something that must release dopamine. It's insane, I know...

Cold turkey: The urge is too strong. I cave within a day Habit replacement: I've tried replacing it with seltzer/soda water. I've tried juice, I've tried water (flavored and not). Reduction: I've tried limiting my intake to just one a day or even less. Reward; I've tried setting up a reward system where I can have ONE if I…

Omg, I hate diet...lol. If diet soda was the ONLY one available, I'd have no problem quitting tomorrow!

Yeah, if I was capable of sprinting for 30 minutes, I wouldn't be posting on here...I'd be training for the Olympics! I wish I could sprint for 30 minutes though...lol. I'm lucky I'm not dying of a heart attack by the time I get the two minutes finished :)
-
When I say HIIT, I don't mean I'm sprinting for 30 minutes. I mean I am sprinting at full speed for two minutes, then running a 8 minute mile pace for four minutes, then returning to the two minutes at a full sprint. I do this for a total of 30 minutes.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I agree that the calories seem low and that it sucks to work out on them but I've calculated and recalculated using a billion different algorithms and it always comes out to this. I didn't really consider, as one of you stated, that my weight may not actually move since I'm thin and small…

Yes, I weigh most things when I can and usually round up on my calories when I cannot weigh things. It's been about three weeks so I realize that perhaps I am being impatient. Am I? Also, lemme ask....should I have EVERY day where I am under my calorie requirement or should I be engaging in carb cycling? I am consuming…

Here we go....I preach this message at least once every two months. It's simple. If you eat REALLY CLEAN...and by clean I mean absolutely NO processed food, it is VERY DIFFICULT to reach the high calorie marks that people think they should be eating. Even on the days when I stuff my face with lean meat, veggies, fruit etc,…
-
Eat SUPER CLEAN. Trust me when I say that if you eat really clean (and I mean NO processed crap at all) you will be shocked at how difficult it is to reach your calorie goal each day. When I eat super clean, I am full as can be and have eaten HALF the calories I do when I am throwing processed stuff in there. People are so…

Personally I believe in calories in, calories out. It takes 3500 calorie deficit to burn a pound. If you're eating back what you worked off, it doesn't seem to make sense that you would lose. Now, I do think that if you are feeling extra hungry and want to eat, eating them back is fine...but remember, the more of a deficit…

Are you swimming?

Regardless of what anyone says, your body will tell you what you need. If you are like me, when I eat clean, healthy, non-processed food, it's extremely hard for me to reach 1200 calories and not feel stuffed. On the other hand, if I eat absolute **** food, I can knock out 1200 calories in one meal and feel hungry the rest…

Clean eating....eliminate all junk. You don't have to go crazy...just start with the no brainers (no fast food, no Doritos, no soda, etc.) and then as your body gets used to healthy food, continue to eliminate bad stuff. Also, exercise at least 30 minutes a day. You can do it! :)
