  • Don't worry about if you're skinny enough to run. I did C25K last year and although I never made it through the whole program I did enough to complete a 5K. I started up again this year with the same 5K goal in mind but to improve my time. I have about 120 lbs to lose but I still do the workouts by walking at 3 mph and…

  • I just found this group, but I've been on here for over a year now off and on. 1. Where were you born? Minnesota 2. Where do you live at the moment? St Cloud, Minnesota 3. Where else have you lived? Spent most of my school years north of Seattle Washington in a couple of towns, Lynden and Ferndale. 4. What is your current…
  • I did W4D1 today on a treadmill and went 1.9 miles. When I did the same outside last fall i was about 2.1 miles for the same time.
  • My Name is Alex and I'm a...wait wrong group. I'm a week 5 dropout as well. But since I just committed to doing the Warrior Dash in Minnesota and Colorado next year with mty sister I need to get going again. I'm thinking I'm going to start fresh since I know I can make it to that point and build my speed/confidence in the…
  • I do it outdoors so I use a site called mapmyrun.com to figure out the distance I cover during the half hour and then double it to get my average run/walk speed. That's how I log mine. Otherwise when I have access to a treadmill I would track how many minutes I was running and how many I walked and log those seperately at…
  • I'm still a novice when it comes to running. For me thoughI've noticed though the underwear doesn't matter as much as making sure I'm wearing shorts/sweats that don't hang too low in the crotch. That's when the bare skin rubs and...ouch...
  • My sister just started the C25K with her daughter who is 11. They just finished the first week and had to do some modifications since neither of them are runners. I think the real challenge is finding a pace that's challenging enough for you without making her sprint because of shorter legs. :-)
  • My niece gets this shirt when she finishes C25K with me. http://www.snorgtees.com/zombies-hate-fast-food

  • Welcome to the site. I'm from St Cloud. If you use the site, It's great. Just be careful when you fall off the wagon to get back on as soon as possible.
  • W1D2 complete. I guess I'm the opposite of everyone because this one was harder for me to finish. I suppose running into the wind half the time didn't help either. Great jobs to everyone who stuck to it and made it past day 2!
  • Just finished D1W1. I have a feeling that my body isn't going to like me tomorrow. I had the advantage though of doing it with someone a foot shorter than me so I got to jog to her run. She'll be worse off tomorrow than I will be. To everyone else who made it through day one....Congrats! Keep it up!
  • I'll run with you, well, on the same program at least. Alex
  • I'm up in St Cloud and have been using this site for a while. It's really useful! Welcome to the group.
  • I guess I have to speak up or everyone in Minnesota who was lucky enough to see what Farve can do for a team. I can't deny that he's self-centered, but he is good at what he does so it's a bit justified. He may be a traitor, but can you blame him for not wanting to live in Wisconsin anymore! I can't. :-)
  • SurleyDave - thanks for posting this thread. Alcohol continues to be one of my biggest problems that caused my weight gain and my main deterrent to losing weight. When I get in a good head space I can limit my drinking to one or two nights a week. But lately it seems like its more like 4 or 5 and it's not just one drink,…
  • You're not the only one. We're here, not all of us post regularly though. Personally I just stalk the various boards to see what info I can steal from the posts. p.s. Love your name. I caught the referrence immediately!
