  • Thank you everyone, the reading has helped. :)
  • I'm giving it up for only 1 day a week and to help save money. Our biggest food cost is meat so if i can cut back on how much we eat it would really help.
  • Thanks everyone I'll keep passing along the links and I'll have him check out Men's Health magazine. :)
  • These are all wonderful!! Keep them coming!!
  • 1200 sounds like a very low amount of calories. Maybe snack more through the day? I'm still new myself so I'm not sure how credible my advice would be :(
  • Yea better was a bad choice of words LoL. By better I mean less calories. I also like to mix things up and try new things so I guess that would be under "better" as well.
  • There are no free weights, only the machine. Eventually I'd like to get a membership but it's just not in the budget when I can use the hotel's for free. I'll check out the website and see if I can get some help. Thank you!
  • Wow totally didn't think this would be this heated. Ok so anywho. Yes he brings home things for himself and I would never ask him to stop (unless medically necessary). On the other hand bringing me home coconut ice cream when he hates coconut is another story. Do I blame him for my weight, hell no! He is extremely…
  • Thank you all. I feel a bit better today. I'm still trying to move every day. Hopefully one day I will reach my goals.
  • Thanks everyone. I feel a little lighter, and it is easier to walk up stairs. I've just lost weight before just dieting and not working out, and I drop dress sizes. I know that what I am doing is healthier and better for me, I'm sure better days will come. And LoraF83 I love that saying, and its going on my motivational…
  • I'm looking to lose about 150 to 175lbs. At my heaviest I was 345, so losing 175 would put me at 170 (basically half of me lol). I've dropped about 10lbs so far but am having trouble keeping motivated. I've started walking, eating healthy, and counting (some) calories. :)
  • Hi I'm up in Edinburgh, no kids but been married for almost 5 years (this May). Decided I needed to get healthy before we started trying for a family, so here I is. :) Still trying to find an exercise that I like, but for now I'm walking. Grew up in Columbus and moved to Edinburgh 4 years ago, and loving it. Just wish we…
  • Right now I'm working out in my home in Edinburgh. Very little equipment, a step, a resistance band, and some home made weights (all of which were free). Would love to find some classes within walking distance as my husband and I have one vehicle and our schedules change weekly. If you know of any please let me know! :D
  • What a wonderful story! Welcome to the group!
  • I'm hoping that's the case. I'm the epiphany of a couch potato and I have heard wonderful reviews for the C25K so I figure it's worth a chance. Any tips for doing it?
  • I usually do some walking but I just downloaded the C25K on my phone so maybe I can get into running lol. It would be nice to get a gym in Edinburgh, but I can use the hotel one for now. :)
  • Thanks for the invite! I'm in the Edinburgh area, sucks that there isn't a large gym to go to around here. :(
