I did Insanity after my 2nd baby was born. Got hooked and continued a 4-5 day a week maintenance program for the next 18 months. Had incredible results!! I just counted calories and allowed myself treats if they fit my daily goal. I just had baby #3 and am 4 weeks into Insanity AGAIN!! Recovery week starts tomorrow, yay!…

This. Stop dieting. Diets end, as yours will in a few days.

I take 2 days off per week for the same reason as above. My muscles like to recuperate. Helps me kick butt the rest of the week.

I firmly believe that what we see in the mirror is not how others see us. We are so hard on ourselves. I recently bought a bikini and was shy about wearing it. So I snapped a selfie in the mirror and was shocked by what I saw. I snapped 5 more--all looked the same. I was very pleased, and wore that bikini with confidence.…

On that note, I avoid "fat free" foods (cheeses, yogurts, cookies, etc.) as I am always starving within 30 minutes of eating them. Allow yourself some fat to feel satisfied.

Another yogurt comment: 60 calories per yogurt? I assume it is fat-free with so few calories. Try 2% or even whole milk Greek yogurt. Lots of protein and some fat to keep you satisfied. You won't feel the need to eat 4 in one day, I promise.

Hope you are feeling better. I'm sure you lost a legit pound or two without taking the binge onto account. That said, I do love red wine! Hope it was fun!

I'm on vacation, so it just made me sleep "later."

Sorry, Insanity (or some other program less than 60 minutes) is my only advice. Driving to and from the gym, waiting for machines--what a waste of precious time! I do it while my toddler is napping or in her pack and play (in the room with me) or when my oldest is at preschool (or coloring or watching a cartoon. 45 minutes…

I am vacationing right now! My plan is to continue my workout regimen, log my breakfast and lunch, and enjoy my dinner (whatever it may be) and a drink or 2, but not every single night. I want to enjoy myself, but not undo my hard work.

Congrats! you look fabulous!! Stare away! (Agree on leggings with bum covered--my fave go-to outfit.)

It might be time to tell a physician about your heart racing while at rest. Have you had a thyroid workup? Too much or too little hormone could cause heart palpitations. (It happened to me, (Hashimoto's)and it is indeed terrifying. Mine would skip, then race, then flutter, then pound--all while sitting on the couch.) Don't…

I work out at home, too. It sounds like you have a really strong fitness base. Have you tried Insanity? It's all I do. I've always been fit and slim, but I used it to whip me back into shape after my 19month old was born...and I never stopped the results were that good. It's the toughest, I hear, but you sound prepared.…

Wow, calling you anorexic and making fun of your breast size? With friends like these...who needs enemies? This SCREAMS insecurity and jealousy. Deflect their comments by by telling them how great healthy food and exercise makes you feel, how you love how your clothes fit. Then offer to help them make healthy food choices,…

Insanity!! At home, no equipment (except a large bottle of water and a towel!), and it kicks your butt in 40-60 minutes.
-
Exactly what I do!!

Wow, this brought tears to my eyes! I don't even know you, but I am so freaking proud of you!!! Any surgery is risky. I'm so glad you believed in yourself enough to know you ARE in control and can change your life without extreme measures. People are stronger than they think. I love when someone sees that in themselves.…

Never too old. It all depends on your comfort zone. I haven't worn one since after my second baby was born. I am pretty fit, but when I sit down, there is nothing to be done about the loose lower belly skin. I'm a perfectionist and just don't like looking at it. I've worn some beautiful sexy one-pieces, though.

Jade, that was exactly my story! Needed more than running to get my butt into shape, plus having 2 little ones means no more jog stroller… :(. I do miss the free feeling of running with my mutt though.

I'm Rita, 39 years old, 5'7" and about 128lbs. I work full time (overnights), have been married 10 years and have 2 daughters, ages 5 and 19 months. I've always had fitness in my life. Danced from age 6-22. Was a runner/jogger from age 18-37, and now with 2 little ones at home, Insanity is the only workout I do. Did the…

I do Insanity. Did the 60 day program, then continued on a 4-5 day a week "maintenance" program. Healthy food choices as well. I work midnights and have 2 small girls not yet in school full time. I work out while baby is either napping or in her pack and play, and my 4 year old is either coloring, watching a cartoon, or…

Way back when I was in college, I would pack gym clothes in my backpack and run on the indoor track between classes (as there was always snow on the ground outside). I also took dance class as an elective. I wasn't overweight, but stayed fit by doing that. I'm sure your classes are not back to back. Like pp said, you have…

Oprah Winfrey once said (about why people are overweight), "It's not what you're eating. It's what's eating you." Losing the weight will not fix the issues which caused you to turn to food for comfort. Find out what those issues are, deal with them, move on from them, love yourself, forgive yourself--and you can then find…

Me! 2 little girls, a full time job, and a committment to fitness and health. I'll send you a request. You can do this!! (My girls are 5 and 19months.) And no nanny here! Hubby and I work opposite shifts. Chaos!! But we make it work.

I have an incurable sweet tooth. I am at my goal weight, but I go through cycles of healthy choices, then back to eating garbage. Ugh!! I'll be your friend!
-
I throw raw spinach and carrots into the blender with water and vanilla protein powder every day after my workout. Delicious! and I can't even taste the veggies. I actually love veggies, but do this to incorporate more into my diet. Try it.

Wow, beautiful lady!! Amazing accomplishment!

I do insanity on 3/4" thick black interlocking gym mats (from ****'s sporting goods), with a no slip rug pad underneath. It really helps to have that cushioning. I'm 39 and broken bones and torn tendons and ligaments in both feet/ankles previously. I have no pain at all doing insanity. Give it a try.
-
Agree, I eat an extra 300-400 calories on days I work out. And don't get discouraged if you are downright exhausted after the long workouts in month 2. That's normal! You will love your body and stamina if you stick with it.
-
Exactly what pp^^^ said. I've been doing Insanity for 18 months and STILL have to take extra breaks. I am at my post baby goal weight (130 at 5' 7") and have been fit my whole life. You just do the best you can each time and you will improve. Make it part of your day, like going to work, or eating breakfast. Good luck and…
