Took my stress out on my elliptical bike yesterday rather that on food! Usually chocolate is my comfort, and carbs my friends, but although i still love them, i think my mind has finally understood the words "in moderation". Ah, so not the whole bar??

Fantastic! Way to go! :)

I am a pound shy of loosing the amount of cheese an average American eat in a year, and now weigh just an ostrich egg less than Arnold! Oh my! What is best in life? To crush your pounds, to see them driven before you, and to hear NOT the lamentations of your bathroom scales.

You look strong and healthy! Great work! Love the ink too! :)
-
That is fantastic! Congratulations! :)

Logging my food ahead of time, and than thinking "nope i can't eat that because it is not on my list for today". Also, making myself go for a walk even though i did not want to...... by the time i was 5 minutes in, i felt better, and managed to walk half a mile more than i normally do!

You look downright glamorous! Great job!

I completed a 6 mile hike without passing out or even thinking about giving up! Happy days!

Looking really good! Love the dress and the ink!

This is not my first time on MFP, and so this is not my first sort of AHA moment either, but it's probably the most emotional one I've had: I went hiking and really struggled to make it a mile. At the end i broke down and cried, more upset with myself that i remember being in a log time. It hit home harder than it probably…

Fantastic job! You go, girl! :)

My mini goal right now is getting out of the 240s, and to complete a 5 mile hike next weekend! I'm getting there! :)

I sometimes just go for the old staple: sandwich. Good bread, turkey/ham/chicken, cheese and heap on the veggies - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, avocado - whatever you want. Side of apple, water or some veggies with dip. Works every time, and keeps well in an insulated lunch box.

Any type of fresh, still slightly warm from the oven breads or rolls. With butter. And homemade jam. I have a serious issue with that. I can easily eat the whole lot! Pizza and anything Haribo i cannot have in the house either. It's true with Haribo says: Children and grownups love it so!

@jrh_this_better_work - Well said. Determination is an amazing driving force. @Jan110144 - Great read. Worth reading twice I think. @Mstarks01 - thank you for the encouragement. I like your attitude and you are right, smalls steps to start with!

Thank you guys for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate your view points and i think i can apply a lot of this advice to help me out! Time for a proactive, slight dishonest, logging a head of time me that does not obsess over the scales! Wish me luck!

[/quote] Another thing I do for discipline is visualization of a goal- for me, it was envisioning myself in much smaller jeans in the dressing room at Avenue. For some folks, it might be going on vacation, wearing smaller clothes, flying on a plane without the weight issue holding them back... whatever "it" is, envision…

Have roughly 120 pounds to loose, and just got back on the wagon two days ago! Feel free to add me if you'd like - we can overcome
