water is water. sometimes I count it if there's crystal light powder in it, but that is it. Maybe tea, if I drank it. I absolutely wouldn't count things like milk - that has lots of calories and fat to it. Just drink 8 cups of actual water every day on top of whatever else you drink to be safe. It isn't difficult if you…

Same, ugh. I've only been trying to lose twenty pounds from the start. MAYBE another ten after that, but I don't think it's going to be necessary.

running socks are great for blisters! blistex also makes this waterproof bandaid that's fantastic and stays on for two or three days and it's saved me on multiple occasions

I have stopped telling people my goal weight because it's really been frustrating to hear over and over that I look fine as I am and that my goal weight will look weird on me. It's in the healthy range of BMI for a person my height, and I really want to be the healthiest version of myself. I don't understand why people are…

and thiiis is why I weigh myself at the very very most once a week, usually once every other week. I don't weigh myself after cheat days and if you just weighed yourself at the end of the week, you probably wouldn't feel so bad about it! Don't weigh yourself so much and by the end of the week you won't even notice that the…

This is actually a pretty great idea.

Nah, I can't drink coffee black, but even with a little half&half in it, coffee really doesn't have very many calories in it, and the caffiene has benefits. And Vitamin Water is a bottled drink that is artificially sweetened and has antioxidants, etc. in it. Vitamin Water Zero has no calories. :)
-
Don't miss more than one day of exercise a week; nothing but water, vitamin water, and coffee to drink; and if I go way over my calories one day, I try to balance it the next by exercising a ton and eating a little under.

"Diets" don't tend to work - "Lifestyle Changes" do. You should really just make an effort to eat healthier, get processed foods out of there, and exercise more. You'll see more results than you will doing a fad diet.
-
you look fantastic!
-
wah I'm going to try this as soon as I go to the store and get some cake mix!
-
I was the same way when I started. I just finished the ten days of Level 1, though, and my endurance levels and ability to get through it all changed drastically within just a few days. Stick with it and you'll be fine!

Most people do cardio to burn calories and thus gain another much-needed bunch of calories that they are able to eat through the day. It also makes you feel better and healthier in general because your heart, lungs, etc. are getting stronger.
-
You should at least be eating 1200 a day for a healthy amount, otherwise you may have to reset your metabolism later on (which is NOT fun). Try eating more calorie-dense (but still healthy) foods like peanut butter and nuts throughout the day.
-
You can also try eating higher-calorie, yet still healthy, foods on days you will need to catch up on calories. Peanuts are a great idea for this - a handful or two is great for you yet has plenty of calories if you're having trouble reaching that number.
-
It's a good idea to eat back as many as you can, but don't stuff yourself. If you really aren't hungry, don't force yourself.
-
Finish the 30 Day Shred and get myself under 140 pounds. :)
-
When you plateau like that you need to switch around your calorie intake. In your case, I suggest upping it. Especially if you are exercising, you need to be consuming AT LEAST 1,200 calories a day and not going under (MFP calculates in a deficit for you, so even when you are eating all of the calories it gives you as a…

Get all terrible foods out of the house! That's what I do, and if I "binge" eat, it isn't terrible binge eating anymore since I'm just eating way more celery or broccoli than usual rather than grabbing the ice cream in the fridge.
-
The salads in some restaurants just astonish me!! Especially Applebee's / Red Robin.
-
You should check with your doctor! Either that or completely cut out those foods for a month and see if you feel/do better, because if you do, that might mean you have an allergy to one of the obscure chemicals that ends up in a lot of foods like that. My friend has that and just had to cut them out.
-
Alright, yeah, I will pay a lot more attention to processed foods then. Thanks!!
-
Wait are you sure it doesn't count as exercise
-
Add in more veggies! And you should at LEAST be eating 1200 calories each day or your body is going to go into weight gain mode. Bad news.
-
Well I could talk for hours on all of my "dining out" tips, like only eating half of the meal and choosing foods off their websites with the calorie counts a few hours before you go out, etc. But what I've found is that if you're doing great for as long a period of time as that, one day really does not hinder your weight…

I exercise seven days a week for 60-90 minutes, and my one "rest" day somewhere in there is usually on a Sunday when I'll only exercise 50 minutes.
-
Convincing him is futile? Augh! Try your hardest every day! The only real way to lose weight and keep it off is to watch what you eat and exercise, none of those diets or fasts end in healthy nor lasting results.

I mean, why bother anyway when you can just drink another glass of water and be sure of it?
