  • 8-10 oz coconut almond milk (or cashew milk) 1 cup frozen grapes 1 cup baby spinach 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter powder Protein powder Mine usually calculates 200-230 calories and is DELICIOUS! :)
  • No sugar added no bake cookies... Also, mixing ricotta cheese, cocoa powder, and drizzle of honey with fruit.
  • Thanks for all the feedback! ScreeField, those are some awesome ideas... I especially like the idea of just using oats and yogurt as part of the base. I love the idea of using a protein powder, but the long ingredient list gets me and I may try the homemade shakes until I find one that fits what I'm looking for. Much…
  • Homemade shakes may be worth looking into, thanks for the idea! I'm not needing something totally clean, but basically the fewer ingredients the better. Slim fast just has a long list of junk, so something with minimal additives would be great. I'll go ahead and start looking online too though. Thanks!!! :)
  • These are all great ideas, thank you so much! Yes, I saw two Yeti cups at Gander Mountain that were grossly overpriced... But, as with the idea of purchasing a cooler, it may end up being an investment. I do like the idea of a cooler more, though, because I can have larger cups of water with me. The idea of going to get…
  • I agree, Skinny Cow is where it's at - both the ice cream and the candy bars! I've also found two things I like to eat that aren't too high in calories and satisfy cravings. One is the banana and oat cookies, where you mash one banana, add 1/2 cup oats, and any add-ins such as dried fruit or chocolate chips. Then you scoop…
  • I've been on MFP for a while, but am getting re motivated after a break. I've gained some weight and want to lose about 15 pounds, just now getting back on the wagon with workouts and trying to eat better. Feel free to add me as well! :)
  • I cook my oatmeal with water, but then add a splash of milk afterwards. I usually eat it with frozen blueberries... I find they thaw out quickly and cool the oatmeal down just enough to eat. I also like to cook it with a few raisins sometimes, then add cinnamon and maybe a little brown sugar to the bowl. I've cut up half…
  • Feel free to add me as well! Enjoy the weekend before Diet Monday! :)
  • So I've read everyone's victories and am truly inspired by all this willpower! But... is it just me, or is anyone else now craving Little Debbies, ice cream, fudge, French fries, and burgers?!?!? I'm not sure if the inspiration balances out the cravings at this point... haha :) But seriously, for me there's an awesome…
  • I'm really interested to see the response you get... I am single, work a crazy job with crazy hours, and struggle at times with getting creative in the food I eat. The result? Lots of prepackaged meals, oatmeal done up fifty different ways, canned soup (my current kick right now - condensed chicken noodle soup... clearly…
  • I agree with what many have already posted. I usually think about my motivation just before I got to bed the night before - new workout clothes, new shoes, new music on my iPhone, or (the free one!) how good I'll feel to get my workout done for the day AND how I will feel energized and refreshed the rest of the day. It's…
  • My go-to snack for the moment is half a mashed banana, about 1/2 cup of oats, and a few chocolate chips mixed together and scooped out onto a baking sheet like cookies. Bake at 350 and flip after a few minutes to get both sides baked. I've been adding in a little bit of peanut butter when I have some extra calories for the…
  • ^ Excellent idea... thank you! :)
  • There is a pool at my gym, but I would be worried about how the chemicals would feel to my open wounds and whether or not it would be a good idea for me to get in out of respect for others using the pool (germs, etc.)... but what would be some good pool exercises to do if that were an option?
  • Thanks so much for the great ideas and well wishes! I do have a gym membership, I just haven't used it since spring because it's been so nice outside for running. I think I will try out some of the ideas you all mentioned and cross my fingers for good results. I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one who's struggled with…
