I have been overweight.to obese to grossly obese for almost my entire adult life. This present journey of mine started on 9th January this year when I tipped the scales at 336 pounds. I currently weigh in at 226 pounds. It hasn't been easy but it has been well worth it. There are ways around the sweet tooth...save enough…

Well done...you look amazing. I have lost 107 pounds since January without gastric banding. I would be scared of going to that extreme.

Mike ....are you a masochist? I love window shopping but NOT in food outlets!!!
-
This is the first time ever that I have got rid of my "fat" clothes. As soon as they get loose....out they go....no going back.

dorilou....I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 20 years ago and in less than a year I have almost reversed this. My cholesterol meds have been reduced again as my cholesterol is stable at 4.1. Keep going it will be well worth it. I only wish I had lost the weight a lot sooner.

Amazing how losing weight can make such a huge difference!!

I started drinking mine black when I started my weight loss journey.

flsunluver....When I started this journey I was taking 320 mg Diamicron and 3000 mg of Glucophage for my Diabetes. Now I am off Diamicrn completely and down to 500 mg Glucophage......so losing the weight will sort the problem out. You'll get there...just keep plodding on.....sure we have nothing to lose except nasty fat!!!

Thanks peeps....hopefully I will be off some more in a few months.

I am 65 and I have lost 103 pounds since January. I still have 75 pounds to go to my goal. It's not easy, but it can be done. I started smoking at age 12 and smoked for 32 years. I have now been smoke free for 21 years. I thought that was a big achievement until I started on this journey and I now realise that achieving my…

-
I live in Ireland and I used to have to buy everything from catalogues....for fat people!!! Now I can go to our cheap chain stores and get stuff.
-
I had to throw out underwear too...it was in danger of falling down. I have been buying cheap and cheerful as I go down the sizes. I don't need quality in clothes that will only fit me for a couple of months. I want to save the money for when I hit my goal and then I WILL want quality. I got such a thrill out of getting…

"Well done...I know just what you mean. I used to dread getting on the scales at my doctors, now I'm almost begging him to weigh me!!!

"So we should always leave one stall free just in case someone has an emergency? That's dumb. The handicapped stall is for people who need extra ROOM due to a wheelchair, crutches, etc. Not for people who can't hold it." I just hope you are never in a position to need one because of a weak bowel....you're conscience would…
-
Somebody with a serious bowel complaint wouldn't need a bigger stall BUT they might not be able to wait for another one to become available.
-
It's strange how some people don't notice when you lose a lot....BUT....they's notice very quickly if you gained a few pounds!!
-
Consider that it could be someone with a serious bowel complaint that might really NEED to go in here. Handicapped does not always mean a wheelchair is needed.
