Thanks Teele, think Im just going to do it the TDEE way then my exercise calories are counted in, tho by calculating my TDEE, there doesnt seem to be much difference in what Ive been doing, calorie wise
-
Oh right, gets more confusing by the minute this lol the calculator I used didnt say activity level tho, it said exercise, so I thought that was asking how many times a week you exercised.
-
I usually exercise about 6 times a week, usually about 30 mins a day, which usually burns around 300 cals, not sure if this is calculated as light or moderate exercise tho..On the calculator I used it didnt ask whether it was moderate or light, just asked how many times a week I exercised. It can be really confusing all…

Thanks for reply, hopefully its not wrong, I do have a good bit of weight to lose, so Im hoping thats why I burned so many cals in 20mins

How would I find this out please had a quick look but not sure what Im looking for? I was losing weight using it but last 3 weeks seems to come to a standstill.
-
I was using weights in the workout so not sure if thats anything to do with it,I was just generally looking after my 2 year old, making dinner etc, but I thought it was quite high myself, Im using a solo sportline 915 hrm, hope its not that, thats way out, or that means all my exercise routines I have been doing are…

No wasnt running was a befit 30 abs workout
-
Yes I weigh everything, and like you said sometimes I do go under my calorie goal and somedays I go over, When I exercise I wear a HRM. Also on the inch thing, I do measure myself regularly (have been doing this a while now)but I havent lost any inches in the past 4 weeks.

I already use a heart rate monitor

At first I was doing Slimming World but seem to come to a stand stil doing that and I was sick of counting syns, When I first started mfp, I had my daily calorie intake at 1200 and then was eating my cals back, and I lost 10lb in frst 4 weeks, then after reading through forums, I thought maybe I wasnt eating enough, so…
-
Thanks for reply, I et roughly the same amount of calories everyday 1410, which mfp as calculated for me, then I exercise every day, currently doing the befit 30 exercises, which is for 20 mins a day, sometimes I do it twice, I always eat these calories back. I weigh every weds morning when I get up.

Can anyone offer any advice at all please?
-
Thanks - its just so bloody annoying tho lol hopefully it will be gone next week and more.
-
Yea that does make sense - thank you.

I sort of did jump overnight, but I havent jumped a great deal, I was eating 1200 a day, then eating my exercise cals back to, which was around 200 cals, so that makes 1400 a day. Doing it the TDEE way I was eating 1600 a day, so its really only a 200 cal difference, dont know how I could put 3lb on with that.
-
Thank you, I felt ok on the 1200 cals a day, some days I felt I could eat a bit more than that, but most days I was fine. I changed because of reading all the post on here about TDEE, people were saying at 1200 cal you might lose for a while but then it will stop, cos your body isnt getting enough food, and will store it.…

Yea the 1st week I started drinking water regular, on a daily basis, I lost 6 pounds, was obviously just all the water I was holding onto, cos I never drank enough before.
-
Ive been drinking about 9 glasses of water a day now for about the past 3 weeks, like yourself I struggled to drink 2 glasses a day, i downloaded a great app called water your body, you enter your weight and it tells you how much you should drink each day, and if you want, you can set it to remind you to drink, every half…

Thanks alot for the reply, Id say I prob want to lose around 20lbs for now.

Thanks guys, used the calculator that Jules said, and that gave me 1658, and Crista said between 1600-1700, so Im gonna try 1650 a day see how I get on, just another quick question....teabea, you said if im losing to slow to adjust, how do I do that, do I eat more calories, or eat less?
-
Im the same feeling quite confused by it all, mfp says I should have 1200 cals, been on the http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ and entered all my details, but by going by different research models i.e Harris Benedict, Katch-Mcardle, they all give different numbers, Im well confused as to what I should…
-
Hi Im new to all this, can someone help me out please on how many calories I should be eating, using the harris benedict formula my bmr is 1266 calories, and then using the activity level (moderately active) I get 1962 calories, how many calories should I be eating??
