I have a fitbit. I remember reading somewhere that it reccommends entering the override information on mfp. either way, i have known it to double count at times. The sync is sometimes buggy when it comes to entering manual activities. I know what my daily average activity burn is and how much i normally burn for certain…

love my fitbit. It's nice to see how my mileage has progressed over the months

Agreed. People have to speak with their dollars. No company would ever stay in business if the public was not demanding their product. Nor is it the Government's place to regulate what/how much I eat. I really think the obesity epidemic is a lack of information and/or tools. Obviously I knew that i needed to eat less and…

I don't have time to workout, cook, or prep food. I work 60hrs a week. I'm a student. I have a family and house to look after. My spouse refuses to eat a vegetable and it's just too hard to eat healthy when the person next to you is eating pizza. He also doesn't like it when i spend time working out that i could be…

this sounds like me =)

Most days i eat fairly clean. I still have oatmeal and yogurt. I'm working on heading in the more primal direction perhaps. still working on the kinks. I'd certainly love to see more people on my FL that are the same.

I've actually found brand new workout gear (tags still on) at a goodwill. So much better than paying $70+ for a pair of compression running capris. Honestly, i just wish that i could find more stuff. I think the good stuff probably gets snapped up real quick. I'm probably at a size that most people wear too. most…

Yep....the comments are already rolling in. I still have a long way to go too. I really think it has a lot more to do with other people's insecurities. I'm still getting used to the new me. I imagine it will be a bit of an adjustment for them too.

I always loved it when i was DONE. It was probably about the time when i could run for 20mins straight without wanting to pass out. the lungs didn't burn so much and i could really just let my mind go. The cares of the day just seemed to melt away and it really helped to improve my mindset/attitude/mood. I might mention…

Yep.....5'7. My heaviest was 236lbs. I started mfp at 192. I'm now 167. I still have some weight to lose. my current goal weight is 150. I think i will reevaluate after i reach 150 though. either way, I plan on being here a long time after i reach goal weight. it most certainly can be done. I find it gets easier and easier…

i love positivity. I've logged every day since i joined in sept. feel free to add me. I'm also looking for people that meet this criteria

yep...I always get snotty "oooohh...you gotta track your calories." I also stopped getting invites to a lot of things centered around food. I'd prolly say no anyway, but it still kinda bothers me. oooh well..i'd choose being a healthy weight/body fat percentage over getting invites/putting up with snide remarks any day.

me! me! I've logged every day since Sept when i joined.

i BELIEVE...I BELIEVE in the power of coffee. power to my people. it's so bad that it actually calms my nerves/stress. oooh my..

sending requests. lol. i must be far too picky

^^^ this..i also find that most people don't give it long enough for the side effects to wear off. the first 4 months after starting any new BC is going to be rough. your body will soon adjust tho. that said...different strokes for different folks. I like having a shorter regular period, clearer skin, and no babies.

True and i completely agree. Yet this is something you consciously do now (as do i). You choose to make a different choice. yet the OP was talking about the psychology of eating out. the reason why we feel it's a victory saying no to the chips. the reason why ordering a salad feels like punishment.

because it's EASY and it's there. There's no prep, no clean up, saves time etc. that in of itself can seem like a treat. it's harder to say no to something when it's easy and right in front of you. i recently noticed this in some of my own behavior. I ate out one night and they put some ketchup in a little condiment cup on…

Make a Different Choice. I can't keep doing the same things and expecting different results. I have to want it badly enough to make a change. Choose a life worth living. thank you so much for posting this. i love seeing all this positivity.

anyone can feel free to add me as well. I always eat above 1200. prefers to get my food from whole foods as well. not that i don't splurge every once in a while :)
-
i always tried to do it too fast. I never made any real changes that could be incorporated into my daily life. I ended up feeling deprived and reverting back to bad habits once i met a certain weight goal. I've never really had a problem losing the weight. It's always been keeping it off. I only ever made real progress…

that's amazing. sending request now. others can feel free to add me as well

feel free to add me. I'm on here everyday.

I think the most important thing is going to be your eating habits. If you have time for nothing else, then just focus on that. don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. just stay within your calorie range. perhaps set aside one day a week to do all your cooking. if that isn't possible then just keep those quick…
-
good for you for making a different choice. that's so funny cuz i was just thinking about this earlier this morning. I didn't want to get up, but i dragged myself out of bed anyway :)

I've watched my mother struggle with the health related issues of being overweight. she was diagnosed with fatty liver disease, diabetes, had small heart attack etc...the doctors even told her that she wouldn't live much longer if she didn't change her lifestyle. They gave her 10yrs max. She went home and ate an entire bag…
