  • Anyone can add me! Most of my friends aren't very active on here - I'd love to have some more friends who log and post regularly.
  • Nope. Just change your calorie goal to take the nursing into account. If exclusively breastfeeding, it's normally recommended to add 500 calories. If not bf-ing exclusively, use your judgement in adding a smaller number of calories.
  • I'm 210 at 5'8, so pretty similar to you, and I've been consistently losing about a pound per week eating between 1500-1800 per day. I find that eating this much is sustainable for me - I'm satiated, I have enough energy, etc. When I eat as low as 1200-1300, I start to feel unwell. I haven't been a yo-yo dieter myself -…
  • As I mentioned, this can happen with endocrine disorders such as thyroid disease and PCOS.
  • There are medical conditions that may result in weight gain even when you are consuming very few calories. If your diary is accurate (and your logging doesn't look that bad to me, it's just concerning that you're eating so little on some days), it could be that you have a thyroid condition or that you have PCOS, which…
  • I weighed in on the 3rd, but forgot to post! I'm officially halfway to my Xmas goal. Start weight : 222.5 Goal weight : 200 (at Christmas) Lbs to lose : 22.5 8/1 : 222.5 9/5 : 216.5 10/3 :212.5 11/7 : 12/5 : 12/26
  • This exactly. If I make a pot of something that I know I will be the only one eating, then no big deal because the calories will average out as I eat it. If I am making something that is to be shared, I just make sure that I take an average portion - give it a good stir and make sure that the ingredients are represented in…

  • He sounds like a *kitten*. Trust me, I've dated a lot of *kitten*. Get the *kitten* away from that guy. There are lots of guys out there who will be into you no matter what size you are... although it's worse when they're young and insecure themselves. Somewhere around college age a lot of guys grow out of that…
  • If it were me, I'd listen to my body in this case. You know what your appetite is normally like. If you've got a bad infection and you're feeling unusually hungry, it seems like a bad idea to ignore what your body is trying to tell you.
  • Learn to cook with different protein sources, like beans, lentils, tofu, quinoa, TVP, tempeh. Replacing your meat with different sources of protein isn't hard, just takes a little research and effort, and your allergies shouldn't be a factor at all. It's never a bad idea to see a nutritionist if you're considering a major…
