Emotional eater here, happy, sad, bored, stressed, any emotion you can name makes me want to eat, and then the guilt of overeating (5,000 cals is not unusual once i get started!) makes me want to overeat again, if im not careful this goes on for days!

Just think its not a race, its a lifestyle change, it will take time and there will be days where you are over your calories and days where you are under, life doesn't stop, there will still be special occassions and treat days and there should be, just make gradual changes until your natural attitude changes. Good luck!

PS love your hair!

Good for you hun, Its your body and only you can decide whats right for it! My boyf is sort of supportive - he is happy to encourage me to exercise but still insists on trying to feed me man-size portions and too many treats! You just have to stick to your guns, if it makes you feel good then do it and he'll have to deal…

I usually pick Friday or Saturday as my cheat night, i try to make myself choose cheat foods or alcohol, doesn't always work, but choosing 1 or the other some of the time is better than having both every time!

In fact i did this last night, i "rewarded myself" with a chinese banquet, i dare not step near the scales, im just trying to limit the damage and make sure i don't revert back to type by thinking sod it damage done might as well have a 3 day binge! Trying to drink loads of water todayand workout tonight, fingers…

Totally! Especially at work, there are always cakes and biscuits and everyone always gives them me because "i don't need to diet or exercise". For a while i believed them and thought yeah why not and i ended up a stone heavier than my ideal! To them i am still slim and don't need to diet but to me i am untoned and squishy…

its personal preference, im pretty new here but i choose to log everything, it will helps me see patterns and alternatives, eg whole pizza vs 1/2 pizza with salad! Good luck with whatever you decide, and make sure you enjoy your cheat day insted of feeling bad otherwise there is no point! : )

a whole 14" seafood pizza, a large Donner Kebab, 1/2 garlic bread, portion of fries, 2 large bags of Kettle chips and half a toffee cheesecake, i was so full i thought i might die, but it didn't stop me doing it again, oops!

im sure missing 1 session won't hurt your goals, especially if you are unwell as you probably wouldn't work yourself as hard anyway. Put your feet up today and i hope you feel better soon. PS weather in the UK sucks today, im in Manchester at the mo and it is yukky!
