It truly does depend on the guy. Most of my friends prefer a girl who is in shape and takes care of herself. But I would hope ALL guys would agree that the model pictured above is way toooooo skinny.

Kashi Go-Lean Crunch cereal with flaxseed and half a banana or a banana protein smoothie. Love both options. I also cottage cheese every day, but for lunch along with fruit.
-
Bud Select 55 or Miller 64 if you like beer. Very low on calories.
-
Timex Ironman with chest strap. Think I paid $75 at Best Buy for it. Love it

I'm doing the Insanity/P90x hybrid. It has been a life changer.
-
Thanks for all the replys! I cannot wait to order one of them this week. I'm glad I didn't hear a bad review from any of you!

I HATE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Work them 3 times a week max. If you want size, go for 8-10 reps per exercise (make sure to pick a weight that you start to struggle after 6-8 reps). If you want to tone, go for 12-15 reps and find a weight that will burn at reps 10-12.
-
I'm also 5-9 and MFP had me eating 1,650 per day to lose 1 lb a week. So he's fine in that range, but you're right that it is not "tons."

I recently finished Insanity and am now doing an Insantiy/P90X hybrid. I'm wondering how much harder Asylum is?
-
MFP has been very close for me, but I bought a good HRM anyway because I like new toys.
-
semhe is correct. I weigh in once a week, every Sunday night. No need to weigh in daily.
-
I don't agree that lighter weights "won't do much at all". But if you want to build muscle, use a weight you can do 8-10 reps (with the last 2-3 reps really burning). If you want to tone, try a weight you can do 15-20 reps with the last 3 giving you that burn.

Get one with a chest strap. Plan on spending at least $80-$130 to get a good one. Timex Iron Man Polar FT7 Garmin Go to your local Best Buy. They have like 40 to choose from. I currently own a Timex http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Health-Personal-Care/Fitness-Heart-Rate-Monitors/abcat0915015.c?id=abcat0915015

Great job!

I went with drinking Bud Select 55. I was surprised that it tasted pretty good. I really didn't get a buzz after drinking 5 bottles and was very surprised. But I was having fun and didn't look at the alcohol content until today. It's only at 2.40%!!! So you have to drink twice as much to get the normal buzz from a Miller…

Wow, I never knew there was a 0 calorie vodka. That is something I am going to have to research. Think I'll try the 55 calorie beer and see who "good" it tastes.
-
I eat them back if hungry.
-
Pepsi Next will be my drink of choice every morning from now on. I hate having the extra sugar each day, but it's probably better than drinking diet pop.
-
Wow, what a loser.

I think it is just the size of the watch...

I'm starting my last 2 weeks of Insanity on Thursday. I think you'll be glad you're doing it, but I also had the issue of figuring out my calorie burn. So I bought and HRM and couldnt be happier. From a lot of research in the $100 price range, I broke it down to 3 HRMs: a Timex Ironman Road Trainer, Polar FT7, or a Garmin.…

Buy a protein powder for shakes. I use EAS 100% Whey protein and you can buy a 2lb bucket for $20 at Target. 20g of protein per scoop. Comes in vanilla and chocolate. I put half a cup of frozen fruit, 1 cup of skim milk, 1.5 scoops or powder, and 6 ice cupes and make a shake after working out. Also, try protein bars. Most…

My goal is to get as cut as Brad Pitt was in Fight Club... I will finish Insanity in 2 weeks & am amazed at the results. I will then start up P90x or do a hybrid of the two. Haven't decided.
-
I agree. Buy a good HRM (not from Walmart). You will not regret it.

thanks

I freeze bananas and eat them. I know it sounds funny, but it seems more like a dessert once they're frozen.

People, it all depends on how "hard" you workout. So for some, MFP will be too high, for others, it will be right on. I purchased a Timex HRM and found MFP to be pretty close for me.

For whatever reason, when do I the "high knees" during the Insanity workout, our cat goes hunting for my shoelaces! I'm afraid I'm going to step on him one of these days. But during the rest of the workout he just lays there, weird....
