ARMS. ugh

losing a few pounds has pointed up how wee my arms are. At my age (51) and dedication level (sedentary) I'll be happy for some tone-so is a mild arm workout every other day what I should be going for?

    You want to let your muscles recover. If you don't give them enough time in between work outs you can end up getting the opposite effects of what you want. I work them twice a week- monday and friday.

  • Work them 3 times a week max.

    If you want size, go for 8-10 reps per exercise (make sure to pick a weight that you start to struggle after 6-8 reps). If you want to tone, go for 12-15 reps and find a weight that will burn at reps 10-12.
