Hey night shifts are horrible! Most of the time I live off lattes and capri-sun and don't actually manage to eat anything. Not that I want to most of the time. I think the best thing is to eat little meals often... so don't eat a giant meal on Sunday just to go do the same thing at 2am on Monday morning. I would try and…

hey welcome to the forum and good luck! My fiancé and I are trying to shape up for our wedding too, although he's already fit and runs everyday! He needs to get rid of a little belly versus my 50 lbs!

Hey everyone  I'm also getting married in Barcelona on 22nd September, basically I need to be in bikini shape for it! I've got 52lbs to lose as I'm currently 204lbs. Just got back on the wagon so will need all the encouragement out there! I suppose I should mention that we're planning to try and conceive after the…

Add me too :) would love to be down 20lbs by March! Adds from everyone welcome so I can stalk your diaries for motivation and inspiration!

Honestly amazing! You should be so proud of your achievement! I worked in orthopaedics for 4 months and will do another 4 months next year and so many patients don't realise the impact their weight has on their joints :)
-
Ah thats my birthday...and the last day I spoke to my mum. Not sure how I feel about September these days! Regardless I'm sorry for your loss. The thing that is driving me most is my wedding dress.. its something positive to look forward to and I want to start looking after myself again!

Hi! I graduated in 2013 but woah I put on so much weight in uni, then it got worse in my first year of work! Its so difficult to afford the good food and eat well whilst in uni. I have about 60lbs to go until my weight goal of 140 lbs. We can do this :)

Exactly! The worst thing for me is cooking for both my fiancé and I, this weekend has been a challenge because he's been at work until 10pm! I'm starving and half comatose by that point and he's a picky eater, its a nightmare.
-
I have a similar motivator... my mother died suddenly in early September, initially I just ate because it was routine then for a few weeks I just ate what I felt like when I felt like but unusually this wasn't a lot of food. My appetite has reduced somewhat so I'm taking advantage of that. It is a means of control and in…

The key for me is to remove the temptation and replace it with a multitude of other healthy options. So no more even looking at chocolate or chips and dip in the supermarket, all I wanna know about is the fresh food. I make myself eat breakfast in the morning, then soup for lunch. Getting into this routine makes it easier…

Hi everyone, I'm getting married in Sept 2015! I actually didn't even try on my wedding dress because I couldn't get into it, I stuck one of my bridesmaids into it and it looked so beautiful! That was last Sunday and it was the kick up the bum I needed, 6 days in and I've lost 1.5lbs which is awesome. I hope we can inspire…

Hi I've got 60 lbs to lose :) no kids yet and won't have any for a while! My starting weight was 210lbs, I'm now at 199.5lbs and working hard to keep bringing it down!

It has nothing to do with energy metabolism, rather more to do with the metabolism of bilirubin. I find it difficult to believe that you have a 'slow metabolism', despite seeing dozens of patients a day I never see that diagnoses. Cushings and hypothyroidism may cause weight gain though. Gilbert condition should not affect…

I need to lose about 50 lbs too :) struggling this weekend but from tomorrow I'm back to a strict diet!

I don't think its too small to report but with minimum cohort being 30, this isn't far off being too small. I appreciate that the findings may be true but I would take it all with a pinch of salt until they expanded it in to a much much bigger study and managed to replicate it. I just worry with these kind of things people…

I'm a doctor, currently working in pre-op assessment which is basically making sure people are fit for their surgery,

SW: 210lbs CW: 203lbs GW: 154lbs Weigh in Dates: Start of Month (6/01 Sun): 6/02 Mon: 6/09 Mon: 6/16 Mon: 6/23 Mon: 6/30 Mon Three things I'm looking forward to: 1) New job in a hospital closer to home = less commute everyday! 2) Planning my wedding 3) Feeling comfortable in summer clothes for once!
-
Pretty small cohort don't you think? Has this study been replicated by anyone else?

hey I'm 24, 5'6 and looking to lose 55lbs! Already started with 7lbs so MFP seems to be working for me. I really struggle with breakfast actually, weetabix with fruit is the easiest thing but I worry that I should be adding in some protein!
-
I don't mean for this to mean or nasty but I feel that if once you quit and you gained all the weight back, does weight watchers work? I had the same experience and it seems so does a lot of people! I feel that MFP is making me be more mindful about my meals rather than being obsessed with points and 'what I'm allowed'

Wholemeal bagei with extra light cream cheese, smoked salmon and lettuce for a bit of crunch! Because my fiancé doesn't eat fish so I eat it at lunch times!
